The old ones zippered securely shut and had a clip to attach to your belt or pack when traveling and not needing to wear the sunglasses. The arms have small rubber pieces on the ends that hold them snugly to your head without feeling tight. I can run with them, sail with them and they never feel like they ’ re going to fall off. It ’s been a few years since I got a new pair of Maui Jims so I didn ’ t know that the cases for them had changed. I love, love, LOVE the new cases and I feel they ’ re way better and easier to use than the old ones. They still provide the same strong protection. They just look aesthetically better. I definitely recommend a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses to anyone.

Great sunglasses, not as great as your old 210 Pilots, but awesome none the less. The Blue Hawaii lenses are awesome! Color is bright and vibrant. Good on sunny days, very good on semi overcast days where you still need sunglasses, but your normal gray lenses would be too dark.

[ I bought these for backcountry snowboarding primarily for the peripheral guards on longer brighter hikes and have yet to test them for that use case. However I did get a chance to test them for some summer riding in OR and they were quite comfy and stable going down the mountain. They definitely are a bit quirky in appearance but I got a lot of compliments/inquiries about them.

[ Bought a month ago for freshwater sailing and fishing. They look great on my large noggin. Had my eyes on different sunglasses but these looked best in person by far. One downfall is when cleaning part of the lens can pop out of place. Haven ’ t had issues when wearing though.
