[ My first outing with this chair was on a long walk on a beach at Bodega Bay in northern California. I am pushing 80 with arthritis in both knees. After 20 minutes I needed a rest. The only improvement I would suggest for this chair would be some way to strap it to a backpack… either a strap or a hook. I ’ ll improvise. It was a lifesaver when an outdoor concert we went to turned out to be much longer than anticipated. [ We 've taken 3 backpacking trips since purchasing these chairs, and they 're now the one luxury item that we refuse to go without. Are they heavier than one of the foam or blow up cushions? Absolutely. But after hiking all day with a heavy pack, it's heaven to sink into a comfy chair at your campsite. They set up and break down quickly and easily, and we love the feet on this chair in particular. Some of the sites we 've camped at were very sandy or muddy, and the Joey felt very stable. I was so happy to find this chair at a reasonable price! Beach chairs have gotten really expensive, and I really wanted one with a sun shade. This chair is really heavy, but folds up similarly to a standard camp chair, just longer. The label says good for up to 225 lbs. The shade folds behind the chair when you do n't want to use it. It sits lower than a traditional camp chair, which I wanted, but does not have any adjustable reclining positions. Does n't have a place to store the carrying bag.

Overall very happy with this! Was a godsend when our toilet overflowed and we had to wait a few weeks for an affordable plumber. We used 8 gallon bags intended for portable toilets. We initially put kitty litter and baking soda in the bags but felt that was unnecessary as long as the bag was changed twice daily. Deducted a star because the seat cover always comes off, and we ’ re small people. The separate lid and seat cover also sold at Dicks seems to be more sturdy because the mechanism that holds the seat cover on the lid is metal instead of plastic.
