[ I lost a mitten when hiking, and I really wanted to cry! You see, my hands get cold easily, and they warm up slowly. The mitten I lost had `` gloves '' inside and the extra material kept my hands very warm. Well... I came home and looked at options to buy another set of mittens. Since I like Patagonia's clothing and accessories, I ordered a pair of their mittens. When they arrived, I was shocked at how thin and light they were. However, I decided to wear them on my hike that day. The terrain was snow- covered icy trails in the foothills. Within 15 minutes, I literally had to remove my mittens because my hands were do warm! I love that they are roomy, lightweight, have a great palm covering and can easily fasten onto my jacket. Thanks, Patagonia, for a fantastic winter accessory!

Used these Nano Puff Mitts in the recent storm to clear 26 inches of snow for 2 hours…. they kept my hands dry and warm the whole time. I never had to change gloves even though I was working with heavy snow. They are also lightweight, this was a great purchase!

I bought these mittens for a snowshoeing trip that ended up being very windy and very cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions, my hands stayed toasty warm the entire trip. These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

[ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

My son is on snow, 4+ days a week. He ’s blown through a number of other gloves that are more expensive than the spark. I wear other Black Diamond mittens that have always been durable, warm, and comfortable. I ’ m anticipating that these will last longer than other more expensive gloves that my son has worn. Black Diamond makes great product.

I ’ ve only bought this pair because my 5 year old pair was stolen. Through probably 40+ patrol days a year and countless ski and touring days these are consistently the best moderate cold gloves I ’ ve ever had. The leather is durable and the insulation is perfect. It ’s an excellent glove. Only con: BD gloves tend to fit a bit big for the size and it isn ’ t consistent across all gloves. Best to try before you order

Hands down these are the best gloves I ’ ve ever worn. I ’ ve had other name brand gloves but the quality of these surpass every other brand.

I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)

I mostly use these for winter backcountry skiing. Easy to get on and off. Warm enough and lots of dexterity. Very durable.

I bought these gloves for patrol and they are the best glove ever. the large cuffs make them easy to put on when in any condition. The pre- curve of the hand allows for a great grip on rope, poles and bindings. They are super warm and because of the dexterity, you rarely need to take them off until you 're indoors.

Love BDs Guide gloves. Extremely warm, yet has the dexterity of a much lighter glove. The removable liners make it easier to keep clean.

Amazing gloves! You could keep your hand in a freezer over night and not feel a thing. Got a pair for me and gave a pair to my neighbor for helping me with my driveway. We both say they are the best pair of gloves we ’ ve ever put on.

I love these gloves. I am a ski patroller and need a warm and functional glove. The mission gloves provide the dexterity I need to manage a taboggan, ropes, and tools. I love the leather palms for gripping ropes and the Velcro wrist straps which keep the snow out and secure the glove easily under the cuff of my jacket. These gloves replaced a pair of BD gloves I used for nearly 6 years.

Been using Bd gloves for many years and they have always been great but these are hands down the warmest mitt I ’ ve had, which is so great to have for those super chilly days up on the resort. No finger separators which I like as your body heat keeps each digit warm.

These are hands down( haha!) the best mittens ever! I have spent a lifetime of winters with perpetually frozen fingers, desperate for a way to foil Mother Nature. Enter the Black Diamond Mission MX mittens and all I can say is let ’s go outside, and bring on the snow. First of all, this is the first xs mitten that really is extra small and fits me. There ’s loads of insulation but they ’ re not too bulky( they work great with ski poles and trekking poles and give me enough dexterity to make snow balls). They are really well made and packed with features( wrist elastic and Velcro, soft suede on the thumbs, leashes with toggles, super cozy insides, and super weather- proof outsides. And they are WARM! I have yet to come in from the cold to warm up my hands. So happy.

Primaloft insulation is a synthetic material designed to provide warmth without bulk. It mimics the properties of down insulation, trapping heat while allowing moisture to escape, which helps keep your hands dry and comfortable. This makes it an excellent choice for gloves used in cold and wet conditions.
Gloves with Primaloft insulation offer superior warmth and lightweight comfort, making them ideal for outdoor activities in cold weather. They are also water-resistant, which helps keep your hands dry in snowy or damp conditions. Additionally, the insulation is compressible, allowing for easy storage when not in use.
Yes, Primaloft insulated gloves are designed to perform well in extreme weather conditions. Their excellent thermal efficiency and moisture-wicking properties help maintain warmth and comfort during prolonged exposure to cold temperatures. However, it's important to consider the specific design and features of the gloves for optimal performance in harsh environments.
Primaloft insulation is often compared to down and other synthetic insulations. While down is highly compressible and warm, it loses its insulating properties when wet. In contrast, Primaloft retains warmth even when damp and dries quickly, making it a more versatile option for wet conditions. Synthetic alternatives may not provide the same level of warmth-to-weight ratio as Primaloft.
Absolutely, Primaloft insulated gloves are versatile and suitable for a range of outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and winter sports. Their warmth and moisture management make them ideal for both active pursuits and casual wear in cold weather. When choosing gloves, consider the specific features that best match your intended use.
