This is my favorite Wilson racket so far. Coming from a blade pro and Bella, this feels more crisp on the shots, also more powerful and great spin on the overheads. I did crack my first one less than a month into it right at the center of the racket on a smash, but Wilson is probably one of the best warranties in the business. I got a replacement and it has been amazing so far!

I have played a lot of tennis and squash prior to padel. Squash racquets by their nature are very light and whippy. For tennis I couldn ’ t go too light because I need balance for volleys and the serve, and I am a control player not all power and spin. This padel racquet is very light weight, not quite whippy, but does allow quick hits off the back or side wall, and still has great control. I found no downside to the lightest high performance racquet from Wilson.

Frequently Asked Questions For Pro Padel Rackets

When selecting a pro padel racket, consider factors such as weight, balance, and grip size, as these can significantly affect your performance. Additionally, look for the racket's shape and material, as they influence power and control. It's also important to think about your playing style and skill level to find a racket that complements your game.

Pro padel rackets are typically made from a combination of materials including carbon fiber, fiberglass, and foam. Carbon fiber is known for its lightweight and durability, while fiberglass offers flexibility and comfort. The core material, often made of EVA or foam, affects the racket's responsiveness and power.

The shape of a pro padel racket can greatly influence your gameplay. Round rackets provide more control and are often favored by beginners, while teardrop-shaped rackets offer a balance of power and control, making them suitable for intermediate players. Diamond-shaped rackets typically emphasize power, catering to advanced players seeking aggressive shots.

Racket weight plays a crucial role in maneuverability and swing speed. Lighter rackets allow for quicker reactions and easier handling, which can be beneficial for players who rely on speed and agility. Conversely, heavier rackets can provide more stability and power but may require more strength to handle effectively.

Choosing the right grip size for a pro padel racket is essential for comfort and control. A grip that is too small can lead to excessive hand movement, while one that is too large can cause discomfort and reduce your ability to maneuver the racket. To find your ideal grip size, measure the distance from the tip of your ring finger to the second crease of your palm.
