I 'm an occasional volleyball player, but chose to get my own net to make sure I could play whenever I wanted. I tried a number of products from a variety of manufacturers and retailers and found all of them to be too flimsy. To the point where one of them fell apart before I could use it even once and another started falling apart after a couple of hours of light use. A friend of mine already had this net and recommended it based on how well it held up after 2 years of abuse. Since buying this net I 've used it 2 times and found it to be very sturdy( the guys I play with are not super careful:)). It took all the punishment thrown at it and continues to perform well. One of the things I found extra useful is the bag that comes with this package. It is big enough to fit the net easily and even has enough space to store 2 inflated volleyballs.

I ordered what I hoped would be a professional quality net with solid braided netting, plastic coated cables top and bottom and quality borders. I got it all in this product. The materials were first class and lent themselves to my backyard set up with two galvanized steel poles and eye hooks with tensioners on one end. The only thing I might recommend to back yard DIY's, is to hang the two ends one foot higher on the poles( 8' 4 '') to compensate for the sag in the middle. Unless you have those pulleys and cranks, like the pros, the long expanse of the net will sag about 14 inches in the middle. Starting at a higher position should take care of that. BALL UP!

Every Thursday since 1986, with the exception of holidays, I have 8 to 20 people that show up at my house for Volleyball. In New England, we play outside in pretty harsh conditions, summer heat to winter snow and the Champion Net survives the abuse and the elements. Our Volleyball defies most of the standard rules and is more contact in nature. I work in a residential treatment facility for youths and this volleyball will be used many times once the weather gets better by these kids. One thing these kids love is recreational time and Volleyball is one of those things they enjoy playing. The reason I put 'minus one' is because the out- of- bounds straps quickly faded and started to tear apart. I 've played for years with this net system. We use the same net every time we play and we play for a minimum of two hours every time we play. This net is still in perfect condition. When I received my product and open it. I notice that on top of one of the poles. One of the black cover piece was crack. I took pictures of it to send back to show you this is how I recieved it.
