have n't gotten to take the bag out on my trip yet, but this is the only pack I have found that met my needs. the square shape maximizes storage, which I feel other brands ignore to take account for. laptop sleeve and secret passport compartments give extra security for important belongings. I love the bag's hip straps which fit perfectly on me at 5'2 and give comfort comparable to competing brands. the other bags I was looking at that had the square shape did not have the straps, and when I tested them out with actual weights, it did hurt. the straps were very necessary. my favorite addition is the added day pack on top- I typically bring with me on trips a similar sling bag but hate when I combine it with other backpacks since the straps get all strangely intertwined. the fact i can just zip it on top will make airport travel much easier. with that being said, the fact it comes off and changes into a personal item/carry on is so helpful. the size of the daypack is big enough for small shopping outings or a day hike- maybe not enough to hold clothes for a few days though, but that is not why i got it. The strap underneath the day pack serves well to hold a jacket/towel which helps with easy access/storage. [ The removal of the small zippered opening to the front pocket was a great improvement over the predecessor Daylight version. The semi- circular opening greatly improves access to the front pocket. The dedicated laptop section is an improvement. Evening out the bag by enabling the main body lid to hold more is a plus. I prefer the extended yoke in the shoulder straps, being fairly thick in the chest from a life of PT. The enlarged bottle sleeve is appreciated, however my OCD needs one on the opposite side to balance it out/look uniform.

This badboy has been with me to 10+ countries, been thrown in and out of every size of airplane, and generally been my bag of choice for everything that comes up. I have dragged it through immigration lines by the strap, and have worn it as a backpack because I had my hands full. It feels like a small bag, but somehow holds everything... like it always manages to hold everything. I tried tons of different specialized bags to use for getting my pilot's license, and this thing( surprise!) holds everything perfectly. Weekend bag? check. Month long trip? Rock this guy plus a backpack or carryon. Which brings me to the* only* flaw I can think of. It does n't sit well on top of a rolling suitcase. The bag will want to slide off the top, and can tip over the whole arrangement when you 're on the run. Also, and I ca n't explain this with anything other than witchcraft... it looks* exactly* the same as when I bought it. 11 out of 10.

I bought this item one year ago along with some packing cubes as an everyday bag. I use it for going to the gym, as carry on luggage when flying, commuting to work and have lived out of the bag for 5 day trips with the bag strapped to my motor cycle. The quality and workmanship is excellent. I have the black bag and love the colour. Love the simplicity of the bag, one zip to the main compartment and that ’s it. The side pockets with organisation works great and i use these for my tech gear. Shoulder strap is comfy as are the carry handles. I have used the carrying handles in backpack mode for a 40min walk twice a day for 5 days with just some gym gear and an iPad inside and its doable but I wouldn ’ t like to do it again it just not comfy. I have since purchased the 45 travel backpack for occasions like this. I love the bag as it suits my needs and would recommend peak design gear to others. When plans were released for a travel line I was very much looking forward to seeing a product of this kind. I was not disappointed. It ’s extremely durable and I love the amount of space it has! I got the 35L for weekend travel use but combined with the packing cubes I could easily stretch to a long weekend/3- 5 days of use. The multiple carry strap configurations are an awesome feature. After 3 months, one of the side pocket zipper- pull broke off. After reaching out to Peak design they directed me to go through the warranty process. I received a brand new replacement bag within a few weeks. It was a pretty seamless process. Overall the bag is fantastic. Love all the pockets and carrying versatility. The one critique would be that the magnets in the Handel are too weak. I highly recommend travel duffel.

Very hard to find a decent multipurpose/format day/weekend bag around 30L at this price. I switch between backpack and hand carry almost daily and it's very easy to do. The zip pockets and interior pouches are super useful. I travel a lot for work( 1- 2 nights away at a time) and this is ideal to pack everything I need as a holdall and to unpack at the hotel and use as a gym/day bag in between. It's light, rugged and the magnets and secure zips are a nice touch. I love the colour( sage) and I have n't found anything that comes close.

I picked this up a couple years ago and it's been on dozens of trips, both domestic US and abroad. I honestly have no complaints. It just works. If you 're the `` one bag '' kind of person, I 've found that this is entirely sufficient for travel beyond a week at a time. RJ's, mainline narrow- bodies, long haul wide- bodies — it fits on a very wide variety of aircraft. In the zipped down condition it will fit under- seat on any aircraft I 've been on. At that size it will also just barely squeeze into CRJ bins. At the expanded size it will fit overhead on just about any mainline aircraft, including the small bins on very old Airbus A320 family aircraft. Really a solid product, I 'd recommend it.

I bought the 30L Travel Backpack a couple of years ago. As a frequent flyer who also likes to take along a camera from time to time, this pack has been a perfect companion over many flights around Europe, America, Asia, and Australia. When traveling for work, this is the only bag I pack for a week away. My work laptop and iPad are safe in the internal pocket, and I use a selection of packing cubes to make a secure and tidy load. I use a large packing cube for my shirts and work trousers, along with a couple of t- shirts for the evenings. A small packing cube contains all my electronics, charging cables, razor, power brick, etc.( you need to remove all electrical items for screening in India, so this makes it very easy). The back pocket of that cube holds my non- liquid bathroom items. Another small cube contains my underwear and pyjamas. This all fits nicely in the 30L without it being expanded. Using the cubes means nothing falls out if I have to open it at the airport. I have the tech pouch and the wash bag, but they are not so compatible in size and, while very nice, just do n't fit with the system. When traveling in the cold, I wear a compressible down jacket and either stuff it under the magnetic flap of the bag for temporary stowage or undo the expansion zips and pop it inside the bag under the packing cubes. When I travel with my camera for a short hop, I substitute the large cube with a small camera cube that fits my Sony mirrorless and an extra lens nicely. I use a small packing cube for clothes in this setup. I ’ ve been working this way for a couple of years, and it has been great. I am off on a vacation that will involve a bit more photography, so I just purchased a smedium camera cube. The reason I bought this is because I am flying with EasyJet, who are pretty strict on their carry- on allowances. The 30L Travel pack is technically too big to qualify on EasyJet. Their limit is 30cm tall, and the 30L is 34cm tall. Now, I ’ ve taken the bag many times on EasyJet and not been called out, but I don ’ t want to risk having to check a bag full of expensive camera gear. For this trip, my 30L Travel backpack will hold a bunch of additional lenses in the smedium photo cube while my camera will live in a PD 6L Sling, which will be my personal item. If EasyJet does become unEasyJet and force me to check the 30L Travel pack, I can remove the camera cube and just bring that as my carry- on item. Oh, and another great finding with the 30L is that the smedium cube along with the 6L sling are a perfect fit. Now that is just genius design!

[ I was looking for a carry- on backpack and I researched a lot of options before choosing this one. I love that the suspension is very comfortable for walking a mile plus from a bus stop or train station( I have only used it on one trip so far but had to walk a mile from the train station to my hotel and this was fine) but it also zips away( which I did when I left the bag at that hotel because it was too early to check in). [ I recently purchased Jordan's Sport Ball Carrier, and I have mixed feelings about it. First off, the design is undeniably cute and stylish, making it a fun accessory to take to the court. The mesh material, which is made of plastic, raises doubts about its longevity, especially if I load it with too many balls. I fear that the mesh could break more easily than anticipated. [ I got this carrier for my daughter who plays club volleyball. This is a ball carrier for a basketball, but can be used for any sport. My daughter is always decked out in Nike and Jordan, so this goes perfectly with her Nike court shoes and Nike pros that are also black and white. Club starts in two weeks, so we made sure her ball and the rest of the items would fit, before she got to use it for a game. Excellent well designed backpack. It can hold your shoes and ball. The built in netting can hold a volleyball and then can be put away if Not. The bottle holders on both sides can hold a 40 oz metal bottle and are so deep, the bottles will not fall out. Ultra durable. Even with shoes on the inside, there is plenty of room for books, laptop and any other things you keep such as phone, headphones etc. The straps on the bottom hold my roller massager. This bag is so much better than a standard backpack for volleyball players.
