This bag meets every requirement you would need out of a muay thai bag. It is a sand/paper bag and I 've used it a few times so I do n't have any long tern test results. The leather appears to be very well stitched together and thick. I would have liked if it had another sewn in strap at the bottom for anchoring the bag but I do n't believe that is common practice with Thai bags.

I would say to disregard any of the negative reviews about this bag, saying it's flimsy. I almost steered clear of it for that reason until I checked exactly which heavy bags we have at my MMA school and many of them are these models. Yes, they 're softER than some bags could be, but they 're definitely up to par for real training. My guess is that whoever rated them as flimsy got a misfire bag, which could happen 1 out of a few hundred with any brand. I have n't broken mine in yet but when it arrived I was actually surprised that it was even stiffer than the ones we have at the MMA gym. I would definitely recommend this bag.

When selecting a punching bag for Muay Thai, consider factors such as the bag's weight, material, and size. Heavier bags provide more resistance, which can help develop power, while lighter bags are better for speed and technique training. Additionally, look for durable materials that can withstand intense training sessions.
The right weight for a Muay Thai punching bag typically depends on your body weight and training goals. A general guideline is to choose a bag that is about half your body weight for optimal resistance during strikes. However, personal preference and the type of training you plan to do can also influence your choice.
Muay Thai punching bags are commonly made from materials like leather, synthetic leather, or heavy-duty vinyl. Leather is often preferred for its durability and feel, while synthetic options can offer similar benefits at a lower price point. Ensure the material can withstand repeated strikes and is easy to maintain.

Using a punching bag for Muay Thai training offers numerous benefits, including improved striking technique, increased power, and enhanced footwork. To properly hang a Muay Thai punching bag, ensure you have a sturdy support structure, such as a ceiling beam or a dedicated stand.
