Originally purchased the STX Men's Cell Lacrosse Shoulder Pads, but when my son( 16 yr old high school player) tried them on, he found that every time he lifted his arms, the entire pads lifted up and the velcro portions started to open up- overall, they restricted his movement too much. Would have been nice since the STX pads appear to offer more protection for the arms, but we went with this Maverick pad because he had better movement and he is happy with the Maverick EKG speed pad after wearing for a month.

This is the third pair of battery operated heated insoles I 've owned. They are an indispensable piece of gear that enables me to spend hours outdoors during the long winters in our high mountain climate. One of the features I like best is that this brand of insoles has a longer tab at the heel so you can actually grasp the tab in order to remove the insole when you are done. Other brands have a tab which is too short rendering it useless. I 've only had this particular pair for a couple months now so the jury is out as to how many winters I will get out of them. If they last more than two winters, I will write an update to my review. I wear them every day. This is the second pair of insoles I 've purchased with a remote. I have not been able to figure out how to pair either one of these models so I have never used the remote feature. Cant say that I miss it. I have a condition similar to Raynaud syndrome that leaves my extremities cold all the time. I 've tried wool, sherpa, cashmere all to no avail. When I came upon these I thought I would try them. They are wonderful. Easy to cut to fit shoe. Directions are a bit lacking, but one I figured it out, the insoles are easy to charge and use. I wear them all the time, indoors and out. I know some people said the high setting was too warm, but I find it the most comfortable setting. I am in love.

I was skeptical at first because the description said it was insulated and when I received it, it was rolled up paper- thin. But somehow it works. I have only used it camping with low temps in the 40s so far, but I never had that feeling of all the warmth getting sucked out through the mattress like other inflatables I have used. It is also plenty wide enough for 6' 3 '' dude and the V- shape is surprisingly comfortable.
