The only reason I replaced my old Asics spikes was that after 9 years, they were pretty tired! These are more of the same. Perfectly designed for a left foot fosbury take off. They are towards the snugger side( both length and width), which is obviously what you want for high jump( I tried out the adidas out of curiosity and the toe and heelboxes were a little roomier, which does n't bode well for slipping on the plant foot at take- off). The right foot is built on a tilted last, which helps you run the curve more effectively but strangely the right shoe seems a little roomier than the left. This obviously is n't a risk on the non- take off foot but it's a little odd nonetheless. I also like the lack of pre- bend in the toe section. Again comparing to adidas, where the pre- bent toe does seem to add a nice rocking effect over the midfoot on take- off, but you lose a bit of propulsion as you ca n't toe off quite as much. You do n't have that issue in the asics. This is a very solid shoe, which can easily handle a very fast approach from an athlete who is considerably heavier than a traditional high jumper and then translate that horizontal force into vertical movement.

Great stability and control. Of all of the current Nike tennis shoes for women, these are the ones that find the balance of stability without being too heavy or clunky. The GP Challenge Pro is the best shoes for anyone playing hardcourt 3+/week. For me, the Zooms are too flexible- there are n't any brakes when you sprint and change direction on hardcourt in the Zooms. Plus the sole of the Zoom wears out too quickly, I replaced them every two months because the tread was gone. The Zooms triggered plantar fasciitis when I wore them because my feet were working too hard in the loose, flexible shoe. A competitor of mine broke her foot the first time she wore the Zooms. First short ball she sprinted from the baseline and broke her foot. No stability. The Osaka's are CUTE but are far too heavy and not breathable enough for a long singles match. Enter the GP Challenge Pro. The upper has reinforcement at the midsole to keep you locked in. It prevents you from sliding through the toe when you are sweaty and chasing short balls. The tread is hearty and holds up with frequent hardcourt use- I am replacing mine every 6 months which is typical if not a little longer than usual. And the sole has an athletic contour with little give that makes the shoe very responsive. They are such a good shoe that you never have to think about them. My only gripe about them is the CHEAP insole. It is so laughably bad it ruins the shoe. I end up using the Sof Sole athletic gel insole. It is easier on the joints and prevents blisters and bunching than the sole provided. With the replacement insole it is a 5 star shoe.

I ’ ve worn many pairs of basketball sneakers in my life. I have much more expensive pairs in my arsenal. These sneakers initially felt a little narrow to me, but after a week of wearing them, they were broken in perfectly. I can honestly say that I am shocked at how great they are. Never expected it. I ’ m slow and been running for about a year. 175lbs. About 9: 50 min marathon pace. I didn ’ t want a carbon plate shoe, and decided on the SB2 for my marathon shoe. I have now worn for most of my runs. Long, tempo, recovery, threshold, and even intervals- and race shoes for my marathon. I think they ’ re awesome at all of those, except, maybe not best for intervals- though they definitely worked- just maybe not best suited for that. No hotspots or slippage or issues, comfort was awesome- and the rocker is great! Super comfortable and I know they helped me reach my marathon goal with way more comfort that what I had done the majority of my training block runs in.( Puma Deviate Nitro 2). Towards the end of my block my training shoes were wearing down and I bought the SB2 ’s as my race day event shoe. I ’ m now at 100mi and they ’ re awesome. They are very big shoes. I am a size 10, and the size of these seemed like they had a bit more room than I was used to and a longer design than what I was training in( Puma DN2 mentioned above). I even ordered/tried on a 9. 5 but those felt a little too snug. So I kept with the 10. I think they ’ re just a bigger shoe by design. But even with being large they feel so light and help me stay comfortable at my higher paces. Support and comfort has been excellent! Definitely was a step up in comfort after training in my DN2 ’s for the block.

Having tried two other pickleball specific shoes I was looking for a shoe that had a wider toe box, and a bit more cushioning. A friend suggested the new Nike Zoom challenge shoe. I am so glad to have found this shoe. It definitely has lots of cushioning, is great for side ways movement about the court and has a good grip on the court surface. It is exactly the responsive type shoe I was looking for.

I bought these since my knees were hurting from lack of lateral support with my current court shoes. They are very tight when you first put them on. You might even think they are way too small. I usually wear a 7. 5 or 8 depending on the brand. I got the 8. I tried on the 8. 5 and they felt better in the store but were too long. After wearing them for one round robin, I am thrilled that I bought these. I do wear thin socks and use a shoe horn to get them on. I get lots of comments about how cute/nice they are also. Be prepared that these shoes do not give much but they are great for this sport.
