That being said, the memory foam in insoles of the shoes make these super comfortable on my feet when I ’ m going for walks and little treks around the neighborhood. These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.

I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Chose the copper rough and tough because I think the look is so classic and understated. Love the versatility as well. Can use them with just about every pair of pants and( even shorts) in my closet. I have fairly narrow feet and these fit perfectly and are very comfortable. You ca n't even tell they have a steel toe. My only complaint is the top lace grommet. It has a different type of hook so it is a little difficult to get the lace in it when it is pulled out. I still rate this as Excellent though.

[ I bought these a month ago and I 've worn them almost every day since then for rides between 30 and 80 miles. They are very comfortable and the stiffness of the sole has eliminated some plantar pain I was developing with my old shoes. The only objection is that the velcro straps are just barely long enough( I have wide feet). The shoes fit my feet well enough but only with thin liner socks- I 'm not sure these will work well for cold weather rides given my wide feet( and need for thicker socks).

[ Awesome shoe. Wore it for 620 miles in 6 days riding down the pacific coast highway. Only issue is that it will tighten up tighter at the top nearer to the knob and be slightly looser in the toe box. So you have to overtighten to get the toe box tight then release the knob slightly to loosen it up over the top of your foot to even it back out again.

Much easier to hike- a- bike without the steal toe cleats like my old shoes too. Maybe less than stellar: Feels kind of bulky in the forefoot sole if you 're standing on rocks, but it's tolerable. I do n't notice it when riding though. Not sure how long the BOA system will last. It seems like I 'm going to pull it apart when I disengage it, but time will tell. I would recommend these. In fact, I 'm going to get my girlfriend a pair.

Recently purchased these as a light hiker for dog walks on trails. I have a couple of foot issues that require a wider toe box and these delivered. I find them to be comfortable, roomy in the toe box but still snug around the heel to prevent slippage. They also fit my custom orthotics perfectly. I have yet to notice any negatives with these shoes.
