Goes on clear. It ’s like a protective moisture barrier all day- actually makes me want to apply it. Waterproof! Doesn ’ t run into my eyes and irritate my contacts. Doesn ’ t dry out throughout the day or flake off. This makes it easy to layer/reapply. I usually react to sunscreen but that hasn ’ t happened, plus no breakouts. I warm it up with my fingers to dab apply around eyes first, then it ’s warm/soft enough to just roll onto the rest of my face in stripes that I then rub in. [ I appreciate that the SUN BUM lip balm has two things that I was looking for- a tint and high SPF. Most lip balms with high SPF can have a white cast. But don ’ t let the tint fool you, this tint is not opaque, so anyone can wear it. The color that I got is called “ Bonfire ”, which looks like a red watermelon color that leans slightly brown. I have pigmented lips so the tint was subtle. It also doesn ’ t have any shimmer. Texture is not thick, similar to Vaseline. It stays on a few hours on your lips unless you lick, eat or drink. This is a good lip balm to use if you ’ re going to be outside for more than a few minutes.
