They do n't have the compression that most of our other running socks, however, the comfort is through the roof. Cushion is perfect without making the sock too thick. I may choose a thinner sock for the hotter days, but more often than not, I will be reaching for this sock, especially on my longer runs. Five stars, two thumbs up. These socks work for what I need. They are a bit on the small side, but they work for me because I have small feet. The heel is cushioned so that helps. They are also a bit thick, so I may not wear them in the extreme heat of the summer. But so far I like them.
