Assembly was definitely not 90 minutes but family enjoyed putting this together as we all participated in it. Agree with another review that it is heavy once filled up and the fact the instructions pointed that out in the beginning. Would highly advise to have it where it will be used before you fill it up! It is heavy and difficult to move so I would n't try by yourself! We added a weather proof bag with another 100 pounds of sand to keep on top and it survived 60mph winds that came through where we live. I will say, I keep it lowered to 8 feet when it was windy and it kept it lower to the ground vs extended to 10 feet. Crank is easy to work and markings on pole are easy to read. Would buy again!

I got this about a week ago and put it together without too much difficulty. It did take three of us, my son and his dad while I read the instructions and told them what to do;-) My son loves it as do the neighbor kids. It ’s great quality and a lot easier to move than I expected. Changing the height is also very easy. I researched a great deal of time before deciding to get this hoop and I don ’ t regret anything about this purchase. I think it was well worth the price.

We bought this a month ago not really being fans for the portable systems. This system is amazing and is as sturdy as a system in the ground. It does take about 4 hours to construct but directions are straight forward. Very pleased with the purchase and highly recommend this system.

I 'm seeing several bad reviews on this product, which I find surprising because I 've own mine for 2 years, through some nasty Midwest weather, and it's been amazing! This hoop system is TOUGH, high quality, and although it's expensive, it's worth every penny if your son/daughter is a highly competitive player who will use it regularly. I highly recommend it!

Easy to move as well. Overall a great portable hoop. The instructions for building could be a bit more clear and label better. That would be my only complain. But totally worth it at the end.

We were looking for a solid portable hoop for our driveway and this is it. The glass backboard provides gym hoop ball response. The entire system is very sturdy. The assembly instructions had a few head scratching sections that could use better detail, but overall we were able to figure it out. It doesn ’ t hold as many bags of sand as it calls for either. Overall this ihoop is rugged and high quality. My kids say it ’s like playing indoors.

The build was not easy, and took me around 3 hours and you definitely need 2 people for parts of it( i would suggest 2 strong people). The hoop is really heavy even without the sand/water in it, so make sure you are careful when bringing it up and down. Now that it's up and in place, love it. Great hoop.

Me and my family love the backboard and rim combo that we got from Spaulding! It was the perfect upgrade and facelift that our old inground basketball system needed. The only issue that we had was with the instructions, because we also replaced the pole mounting mechanism, which was not Spalding brand, and had its own instructions. It took a while to figure out which instructions steps to follow and which ones to skip, in regards to the backboard and the mount, but I eventually figured it out and now it works perfectly, and can be set to any height!

[ Our previous backboard lasted outside about three years before starting to break and chip. We bought this new backboard to replace the old one in our pole/elevator system. The new backboard fit and worked in this system without need of any adaptor kits, and while it was tight and tough to remount, it works and we 're back up and playing regularly. So far, this is a little smaller backboard but works great. We hope this one will last longer than three years, but we do play often and pretty hard on it. I 'd recommend this backboard and rim set as a good replacement.
