I 've worn these a few times a month for about five months now and I 'm impressed by their waterproof ability. Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! [ I 've been looking for an alternative to my Xtratuffs and came across these. The comfort on the midsole is what I was really looking forward too. Long days on my feet on a 10+ hour workday means I need all the comfort I can get and so far these shoes have met my expectations. So far the outer water protection layer is holding up. The only downside I 've found so far is the opening to the shoe is narrow and I have to wear long socks or pants that come down to protect my shins from all the rubbing and hitting from walking.

I read some mixed reviews regarding sizing, so I felt that it was helpful to focus on that for others that are unsure. I am a true 6. 5. I ordered a 6. 5 and they are correct from toe to heel- not much extra room, but pretty standard sizing. I do, however, have slightly wider feet and I find the boots to be very snug. I think they will break in nicely, but be aware that they will feel tight if you have wider feet. Overall I like the show!

These boots are always dirty with grease& food stains but nothing like a little wet rag and polish to make them brand new again. I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

These boots are warm and waterproof, which was exactly what I was looking for. The snow levels were n't very high, so the boot height was perfect.
