It's built strongly enough to withstand the rigors of my daily work/life commute but crafted with such taste it looks like it belongs in any boardroom for executive meetings. FIT and FEEL: Backpack is bigger than it looks, and still fits comfortably when wearing for extended periods of time. The straps have solid padding and the Haul Loop is extra luxurious. No trouble adjusting the straps to my desired length. DESIGN: Sleek, understated elegance. The only branding on it is a basic Nike Swoosh on the front outer pocket, and even then it's the same color as the rest of the backpack to continue with the more sophisticated look. FABRIC: The nylon material used on the exterior of the backpack feels like its built to last and the interior polyester is also well constructed. There are so many things I love about this backpack. The Trolley/Luggage sleeve on the backside is such a nice feature to be included as this backpack definitely has the size to be used for extended trips. I also like how the interior laptop sleeve has a button clasp at the top to prevent a laptop from potentially sliding out or moving around if the backpack was upended for any reason. The drawstring allows for a wider opening into the main compartment but there's also a side zipper for quick access( refer to my photo). There's also an interior bottle sleeve that could potentially be used to hold sunblock or anything else you may want to keep hidden away.

The quality of the materials and workmanship of the Thule Chasm laptop backpack 26L Golden is superb. The water repellent materials is an added value. The external water bottle sleeve is snug and flexible. The light blue interior color helps identify the contents. This is an upgrade over my previous vest from a different retailer. Big roomy pockets on the front for flasks with elastic loops that go over the lid to prevent it from sinking down in the sleeve over time. I love the zippered pocket on the left for my phone and the mesh pockets on either side for snacks. The bag has an easy top cinch at the top and is super roomy for the other essentials and then some. There is probably enough space in the pack itself for an emergency overnight. The fit is luxuriously comfortable, feels secure with very little bouncing and jostling. The only aspect of the pack I have n't used is the pole sleeves on either side of the pack or the elastic loops for lashing poles to the outside. They seem like they would work very well with the distance z poles, but not my old school backpacking poles. Really though, this is a great buy, I am extremely satisfied with the fit, feel, and quality of the running pack.

Hydration pack is well made and super lite. Great for day hikes over long distances and can hold quite a bit of water and accessories for a small pack. The only thing that could be considered a drawback is the closure for the water bladder can slip off when the bladder is completely full. But as long as you are careful putting it in the pack then it is fine.

Used this pack over 3 days and 30 miles summitting King's Peak in Utah. I purposely packed more luxury camp items for a total pack weight of 30 pounds. At that weight the pack was the most comfortable and least sweaty of any I 've ever used. I nearly purchased the pro 55, but some of the features of the standard 58 really make for a more comfortable journey. I can always do the top brain and shave 4- 5 ounces, if desired to get within 7- 8 ounces of the Pro and hit the trail with far more comfort in the shoulder straps, hip padding, andplaces to lay my trekking poles.
