They are very comfortable and the stiffness of the sole has eliminated some plantar pain I was developing with my old shoes. The only objection is that the velcro straps are just barely long enough( I have wide feet). I typically wear either a 7. 5 or 8. In these I got a 7. 5. My only complaint is that I have narrow heels and ankles and have to pull the velcro strap way over to feel secure.

If you live somewhere with 90+ degree weather all summer, you know that most mountain bike shoes are not made for breathability aside from XC shoes which are in general better ventilated. These are a great option for hot weather riding. I think they could apply a lot of the engineering of this show to the hellcat pro and make a knockout trail shoe. The lacing is much more effective on shoes with flexible uppers than typical mountain bike shoes that have become like stiff plastic over the past 10 years. Runs long... I bought a half size down( 11 vs 11. 5) after trying my normal size.

Bought the sandals about a month ago. I love the overall style. I love the color scheme and I love the comfort, I am primarily a minimalist shoe/sandal person, but I needed something with just a little more protection for hiking in areas that are a little rocky and sharper. I Was hesitant to try Chaco ’s because all of the styles that I saw were super thick and very heavy. This new style so far is light, allows my toes displayed comfortably, and feels very natural on my feet. If I Could make one slight change, it would most likely be to get rid of the toll loop and make this more of a huarache style. Other than that, I am a fan.

I need arch support to NOT have foot pain. These are great. One issue I had was that the adjustable strap was too long, as my foot is not `` very tall. '' When I tightened the adjustable strap, the strap hit the floor/ground. So, I took them to a shoe repair shop and had the straps shortened by 1 inch. Now, they are perfect for my feet.
