purchased from nike, not Dicks. But i have seen a lot of non- typical reviews that may dissuade someone from giving these shoes a chance. I have over 300 damage- free miles on these shoes and i am just now looking at getting a replacement pair. not due to damage, but just due to the zoomX foam losing its `` springiness '' which is typical for it over time. I started wearing these shoes coming from wearing nike free's for years and just wanted to give something else a try that is lightweight and without a carbon fiber plate. These shoes will not `` destroy '' your ankles if you are already adept to wearing a minimalist- style shoe. These are not true minimalist, but they are very lightweight, lighter than my minimalist shoes, and have a very low heel- toe drop. Both of these specs can compete with minimalist shoes. Coming from wearing minimalist shoes, my ankles, feet, and lower legs are strengthened to adapt to the less cushioning and stability. If you transition to these shoes straight from wearing `` traditional '' trainers, there will be an adjustment period and you may decide its not for you. That is not a knock on the shoe, but more of a characteristic of this style of shoe. I transitioned to these shoes pretty seamlessly from my Nike frees. Streakfly's are the lightest shoe Nike makes, and extremely flexible. Like wearing socks. This is what i look for in a shoe, and something to consider for anyone looking at giving these a try. It is a very fast shoe, but it will lose its responsiveness over time due to the exposed ZoomX foam. They can still be used when this happens though. I am not happy that Nike decided to add a carbon fiber plate to the new Streakfly's, although Nike did make the shoe even lighter. I uses these shoes as a daily trainer and do not want to run with a carbon fiber plate every time, this can cause injury. i am currently looking for deals on these shoes from other sellers because they are not for sale through Nike anymore and i want to pick up another pair before they are completely gone. Bottom line, if you are someone that is already used to wearing a lightweight, flexible shoe, with low drop, you should really give this shoe a try. If not, there will be a transition period before you can wear this shoe all the time. When i transitioned to minimalist, i went through several shoes of gradually decreasing weight and drop in order to let my body strengthen and acclimate.

I bought 4 pairs of these SB 2 between August and September of 2024. I run trails only..... Central Ca coastal hills/ mountains.... mtb trails, fire roads, no snow or mud. My bodyweight is 155lbs. I use each pair about once a week and the shoe, particularly the midsole, is n't breaking down or falling apart. If you are running on `` semi maintained `` mostly dirt trails, if you can deal with a higher stack shoe, and your feet work with the Asics lasts, you will find these Superblast 2s to be insanely fun, light weight, pedfecto cushioning, and insanely fast! Two quick and easy mods from me: Stock laces come out and replaced with 50 '' bubble laces. I remove the out of the box fore foot stiffness..... I initially tried manually flexing the fore foot to alleviate the stiffness- and this kind of helped, but I still wanted more flexibility for climbing. I ended up strapping the forefoot back on itself and left it this way for 4 to 6 weeks. This does n't break or hurt the foam, it creates a nice flex zone under the metatarsals= zero resistance for climbing. Generally: shoe is like a Novablast 3tr on steroids. Funner, faster, and lighter than Trabucos, MetaFuji, and Fuji Lites.( I 've bought and tried most Asics trail shoes over last 6 years). Upper is sublime, hardly any overlays and I 'm stuck to the midsole no matter what- generous toe box yet slimmed mid foot and heel. Really comfy with zero foot slop. Midsole.... too good to be true... slow easy pace to full on downhills- all super comfortable and no mush. Lastly, the outsole islands give me just enough grip on dry/damp trails..... I 'd love to see a Superblast TR with Metafuji tread!!!!!! The tounge..... minimally padded, no lace bite on downhills... tounge DOES NOT MOVE AROUND, no migration. This shoe smokes 95% of all trail shoes in the 2025 market. Asics, lets see a legit TR version.

I got the Adidas sl2 but they were a bit unstable for my low arches, then I got the superblast 2. The first run was a 13 mile easy long run 8: 30pace. The shoes were super comfy. This is my third pair of Adrenaline GTS. A size 5 is difficult to find and often not true to size for me. I love that Brooks offers small sizes. I was also thrilled to see a bold, bright shoe. Not all women like pink, purples, pastels, black etc. thank you for the bold and bright yellow retro. I ’ ve been needing a new pair but kept holding out for something dazzling this one is! The GTS fits good and seems to have more stability then the 23. I ’ m a casual jogger, lift weights and do Tabatta. The GTS is perfect for all. In all honesty... I do not run... unless being chased... or the quick sprint to catch my kids. But I walk, hike, ruck,& I am brutal on my feet/shoes with a- lot of stop& go in my work. I average 6- 10 miles a day& for the first time in a while my feet did not scream at the end of 3 straight days trying these, great right out of the box( really low profile socks bunch up in the back a bit) They do work really well with my custom orthotics, clean easy, breath, do not really pick up gravel, and have great grip and balance. From what I 've been told, it is recommended that you take a stroll in new running shoes to warm them up and stretch them out a bit. However, I took these shoes on a run fresh out of the box and it felt great. This is not normal for me by the way. I 'm a flat- footed monster with wide feet and if the shoe does n't fit while I 'm running, it can get extremely painful. The Pegasus always seem to deliver for me. I was a little hesitant to buy this shoe. I ’ ve been a big fan of the PureBoost and the Parley Ultraboosts and was worried it would feel too squishy. You definitely feel the difference in the cushion, but for me, it was in a good way.
