These have become one of my favorite Adidas running shoes now- that means a lot because I have every Adidas performance line running shoes. I just got these last week and put in about 10 miles. I like the previous Rise 2, and this one is better in terms of comfort and shock absorption. The previous version was a bit firm but had a good energy return. After reading so many great reviews on the Adizero SL2, I decided to try them out. It took a few runs to break in the foam, but the Lightstrike Pro foam is responsive and provides some nice pop. Some reviews recommended going up a half size, but a larger size wasn ’ t available( I wear a US size 13). While the length and width were great, the upper initially felt a little snug. However, they became more comfortable after wearing them for a few minutes before the run. The heel isn ’ t as unstable for me as some reviews have mentioned, especially compared to other shoes I ’ ve worn( e. g. Endorphin Speed). I ’ ve run up to 5K on these shoes and I would be comfortable running a 10k in them. I haven ’ t had any rubbing, hot spots, or blisters, but I have had challenges with lockdown on the right shoe. Perhaps a runner ’s loop will correct this. I am rotating these shoes with the Supernova Rise 2( which I love), but they provide a different running experience. I only have 20 miles on the SL2s, but they have been a really good shoe so far.

[ I got these in a size 7 in women ’s for 1 of 2 people that I knew could give me an honest opinion on them. It happened to be my mother who I gifted them to that works in a plant on her feet 8- 10 hours a day. As soon as she opened the box she absolutely loved the colorway she got as it can match multiple things as well as the style/look of the shoe. Once she got the shoe on foot she walked around the house and said she felt more bounce and spring in her step wearing them. She wore them to work the next day and when she came home she talked about how much her feet and back felt better after wearing them and all the compliments she got on them from co- workers who said they would be looking to get a pair as well. [ I love these shoes. I 've been running in hoarded pairs of Adidas Boston 7s for the last eight years while hoping the high- stack shoes trend would run it's course. Well, it did n't. The Adios 9 was the most similar lower- stack pair I could find, and after 1. 5 months running in them, they 're great. I wear the same size I 've always worn in Adidas( 8. 5) and they are true to size. The forefoot foam has great rebound and has improved my running times. The sole definitely feels mushy laterally since this shoe does n't have much stability support, but I 'm a long- time runner and have n't had any problems with my knees or ankles since making the switch. I did get a small blister on my right heel initially, but lace locked that shoe and have n't had problems since. I 've run in it from my daily 3. 5- 4 mile runs to longer 13- milers on weekends. If you 're looking for a neutral, lower- stack, very lightweight shoe, you 've found it!

Switched to Zoom Fly when the first edition came out. The 6 is an absolute game changer. First run out of the box ran about: 30/mile faster than my usual slog without trying to do so. My HR is commensurately higher, but my legs and body feel much easier. Just a tremendous shoe for forefoot or midfoot strikers- would not recommend for heel strikers. I am older and much slower than I used to be but I am enjoying runs more than I have in years.

It lets me lock into a pace and cruise along while keeping my legs feeling fresh and protecting my feet and joints. There is a enjoyable combination of cushion, rebound, and roll. The shoe seems to have a sweet spot when landing with a mid- foot or slightly forefoot landing. Internet reviews have frequently noted the shoe ’s higher weight, but I only notice this when doing sprints or striders where my turnover is high.
