I bought the UA Velociti Elite 2 after watching many reviews of the top carbon plated racing shoes. I am stoked that I did! I ordered it in a half size larger than my normal size because I have a wide foot. Perfect fit! The upper hugs the foot like a snug glove and the lock down is excellent. The midsole has a generous amount of cushioning but plenty of spring to propel you forward. I didn ’ t expect to like the outsole as much as traditional rubber. I have had zero traction issues and enjoy how quiet the foot strike is. Overall this shoe has a fantastic build quality and is very fast! I am thinking about getting a second pair.

They fit perfect, color was not my first choice but could not resist the price. Like my other On Clouds, they are perfect fit, but you do run 1/2 size too small. They are very light, fit like slippers and walk and run very well as they cushion your feet. Like other On Clouds, be careful not to scrape or use them for harsh conditions as they will tear or a hole can happen. They are meant for light to medium wearing conditions and do very well at that.

Of the 12 pair of Salomons in my house, I had to buy another pair of these. I did n't want to make the mistake of missing these like the black SC3 I had. first hike rubber tip on one toe of one shoe starting to peel back. I do n't recall catching my toe on something. I have the altra gators and( not just this shoe but others) the laces do n't go far enough towards to toes so you ca n't use the lace hook on the gator. I have been a long time Hoka Stinson wearer for hiking but the soles do n't hold up well for Grand Canyon and slick rock hiking. I decided to try the Olympus 6's and have been very pleased. The Vibram soles are grippy and durable with the same plush cushioning that I enjoyed with the Hokas. The Olympus runs about 1/2 smaller than the Hokas which caused the hassle of sending back a pair. There was a break in period for the cushioned heel but felt much better after a week. I 'm wearing them for a rim to rim later this month and if they do well with that, I 'm hooked.

I 'm an Altra purist and have been for 3 or 4 years. I have road and trail styles, but with the Olympus 6, Altra just outdid themselves. I purchased these for trail running on small gravel/dirt trails around the beach trails in the hills of the SoCal coast. Nothing technical, just a good sturdy and grippy shoe. The structure and protection level in the Olympus 6 is perfect- the toe has protection and the edge and bite of the sole works great. I was also looking for cushion and I would say the cushion is cloud- like. The reduction in fatigue from long runs is really noticed. The shoe is sturdy, but the comfort is level 10. By far my favorite 10+ miler trail shoe I 've ever worn. I have to order another pair as these quickly became my dailies. I work in film production and I have lived in these since I purchased them. And not that I care, but I 've gotten more compliments and asks about these shoes! The best- I ca n't say it enough.

I have the cloudmonsters( have a plate) and after I ran in them my calves were in pain, and with the cloudeclipese I don ’ t have that problem. Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

The print inside the shoe, and they even mirrored the Nike logo on the sole so the orientation is correct when leaving footprint!!!

I bought 4 pairs of these SB 2 between August and September of 2024. I run trails only..... Central Ca coastal hills/ mountains.... mtb trails, fire roads, no snow or mud. My bodyweight is 155lbs. I use each pair about once a week and the shoe, particularly the midsole, is n't breaking down or falling apart. If you are running on `` semi maintained `` mostly dirt trails, if you can deal with a higher stack shoe, and your feet work with the Asics lasts, you will find these Superblast 2s to be insanely fun, light weight, pedfecto cushioning, and insanely fast! Two quick and easy mods from me: Stock laces come out and replaced with 50 '' bubble laces. I remove the out of the box fore foot stiffness..... I initially tried manually flexing the fore foot to alleviate the stiffness- and this kind of helped, but I still wanted more flexibility for climbing. I ended up strapping the forefoot back on itself and left it this way for 4 to 6 weeks. This does n't break or hurt the foam, it creates a nice flex zone under the metatarsals= zero resistance for climbing. Generally: shoe is like a Novablast 3tr on steroids. Funner, faster, and lighter than Trabucos, MetaFuji, and Fuji Lites.( I 've bought and tried most Asics trail shoes over last 6 years). Upper is sublime, hardly any overlays and I 'm stuck to the midsole no matter what- generous toe box yet slimmed mid foot and heel. Really comfy with zero foot slop. Midsole.... too good to be true... slow easy pace to full on downhills- all super comfortable and no mush. Lastly, the outsole islands give me just enough grip on dry/damp trails..... I 'd love to see a Superblast TR with Metafuji tread!!!!!! The tounge..... minimally padded, no lace bite on downhills... tounge DOES NOT MOVE AROUND, no migration. This shoe smokes 95% of all trail shoes in the 2025 market. Asics, lets see a legit TR version.

I love these shoes! I had two pairs of the 5s. The rubber did come off on the bottom the first week but I superglued it back on. I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc in these babies and they did great! Love the extra cushioning and durability. Will definitely buy them again for my next long hike. The extra cushioning prevented any foot pain. I 'd say they lasted a whole summer of maybe 200 miles of hiking!

The Olympus 6 is so comfortable and actually feels like a true Altra wide toebox shoe. I 've been wearing them everyday since I got them 2 weeks ago and I have n't had any issues. Plus the colors are great! The pictures do n't do justice. Best Olympus yet.

[ All I run in is Altra's, so I was stoked when Altra gave me this free product to try. The Olympus 6's look a bit like oversize clown shoes, however, they are SO comfortable I just love running in them! Recently, I was running up a muddy hill along Minnehaha Creek in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and some guy and his dog tried to run up the same hill, and he started sliding down it! I reached my hand out to help him get up the hill, and so he grabbed onto it, and the grip of these shoes was nearly strong enough to hold up him and me, but eventually he started to drag me down the hill with him, so I yelled at him to let go, as he propelled up. It was reaffirming to me though how well these Olympus 6's performed compared to other trail shoes- especially on the wet/muddy ground! These Olympus 6's have one heck of a grip! The colors are decent( I always prefer men's colors to women's, but the women's are okay on this model shoe). The heel is a bit large on me, and the shoes look silly on my skinny legs, but these really are super comfortable shoes that still feel pretty lightweight( all things considered) and really do perform well! For someone looking for a high cushioned shoe with good traction, I 'd highly recommend the Olympus 6's. Thanks Altra for providing these shoes for free to me so I could review them. I sure do love them!

[ ALTRA gave me this free product to try. I have been wanting to try the larger toe box but unsure about the low drop and the max cushioned and how my feet would react to that. I 'm happy to report my feet are very happy in these shoes!! I especially love the `` Gaiter Trap '' on these shoes! No need to mess with putting my own hook/loop stuff, these have it securely built in. The stack height is larger than I 'm used to so I thought I 'd trip over nature but nope, not anymore than my normal clumsiness! The cushion is great to keep feet fresh while going the distance. The EVO SL is the perfect shoe for threshold through uptempo easy running. The foam gives boundless energy and it ’s very lightweight for how much stack height there is. It isn ’ t the most stable shoe walking around, but when you ’ re clicking off the miles it isn ’ t as noticeable. I do with the tongue was slightly longer, the lace holes a little more flexible, and the toe box not so wide, but everything else about this shoe make it my single favorite shoe I ’ ve run in over the last 15 years.
