I went with the photochromic glacier lenses. My eyes are very sensitive to sunlight, so I thought it would be a good idea to invest in a pair of real, actual glacier glasses. I have a few other pairs of Smith sunglasses and ski goggles with 10% VLT lenses, and I always have to squint and end up with dry, sore eyes after a day in the snow. For my first test, I took them skinning up Palmer Glacier this weekend. It was a full- sun day, and my eyes were very comfortable; I was barely squinting and made it back to the car feeling like I was n't going to go blind. I was also very impressed with the clarity and contrast of the snow; I could see every little detail in the snow and up on the mountain. Although I bought these mostly for ski mountaineering, I think I 'm going to also get a pair of Smith Pursuit's with the photochromic lenses purely for spring ski days and winter backcountry. I imagine the wider coverage will be a little better for field- of- view and look cooler under my Smith helmet.

I have had my Baby Beach glasses for 12 years! 12!!!! I have the gold frames, and wear them roughly 100 days per year. When not wearing, I keep them stored in their hard case in my purse. Regular cleanings with a mild soap if they are really dirty, or with eyeglass cleaner and a microfiber rag are my maintenance go- tos. I can not believe how well they have held up, and love the smaller aviator size. It does dig into my cheekbones or ride up my forehead. Such a great frame and lens, I love everything about these!

I love these glasses! Love the smaller aviator frame. Nothing cuts. the glare like Maui Jim's. I 've purchased multiple pairs, but this is my first pair of metal frames. I love how lightweight and comfortable they feel; however, they get stuck in my hair if I place them on top of my head, so I 'm working on this habit.
