I have n't used this at the beach or in high winds yet, so I ca n't comment on its durability in those conditions. I 've used it in moderately winter conditions though( 15 mph or so) without issue. I spend an enormous amount of time at my kids' outdoor sports events, especially soccer where there is no shade. This umbrella is perfect for that. Two folding chairs will fit under this even without the ground stake pole attached. Just open it like an umbrella and throw it on the ground and it's ready to go. But if there is wind, you 'll want to use the included anchors. It's also very light for the long walks to the field.

I previously had purchased an ozark canopy and was in need of panels for it to use at craft fairs. I was worried that this might not fit because my canopy was another brand, but these fit perfectly. The fabric is pretty sturdy as well and kept the sun off of us and the wind mostly out. The only thing I did not like was the velcro. While it did hold the panels in place, they felt a little flimsy and when the wind picked up, the velcro did not hold as strongly as I would have liked in some places. That being said, I have been very pleased with this product and would recommend it as a lower cost option for those who already have a canopy.

You 'll want to make sure you have stakes or something to weigh it down with once you are set up. There's a back window that can be opened for more ventilation throughout the tent. Sand easily falls right off of the slinky nylon- like material. There was a bit of a learning curve to get it closed, but once you watch their YouTube video it really helps you get it down.
