I am a redhead and these do the best job of protecting my neck, scalp, and face of any hat I have owned. I also love the folding brim so it can go in a pocket. The hat is a solid hat from Outdoor Research. It reminds me of one of my favorite hats from 4- 5 years ago from OR. The hat is a mid crowd hat compared to other older models breathable trucker hats. I 've had the Brushline Bucket for more than a year. It's been comfortable, functional, and held a good shape through many washes. While the first one is going strong, I 'm buying another in a different color.

I got this hat because the brim is slightly smaller than my full on sun hat, so it ’s not as awkward to wear in the car or indoors, but still provides a good amount of sun protection. I got the goldenrod color, and it ’s a little darker in person, but still a cool color. It does seem to run a little small compared to my other hats of the same size, so if you ’ re in between sizes, probably best to size up. Oh, and the sunglasses holder is awesome! After having them in a couple of sun hats, I would never want to buy one without.

This is a great hat for any who spend a lot of time in the sun. So much cooler than most ball cap style hats. Much better air flow and space for your head to breath. It is an excellent choice for any fisherman who spends many hours out on the lake like I do. Provides great comfort and sun protection as well as shading your eyes so along with your polarized sunglasses one can see deep into the water.
