Came with carabiner, Great for securing covets ... Product appears to be high quality and durable. ... I was on a trip to Memphis to get furniture from IKEA and the boxes were too long to close my SUV so I used this rope to tie everything down and it worked

[ I always pack some 550 with a carabiner already attached. I like the small light weight carabiner because I can quickly setup a ridge line only having to tie one knot. So this just made sense for me. It is hard to find the color black locally so that's a win too.

Nice addition in the handle with the paracord and the little compartment. ... I love the rope and lighter storage in the handle too. ... The longer handle and arched shape give a more efficient splitting

Forward heavy on the swing and holds an edge. This hatchet makes light work of common chores in the bush... I absolutely love the backup lighter storage, just in case I feel the need to cheat on starting a fire.

[ Wow, I was surprised at the quality of this hatchet. It has a nice weight to it, just enough that it ’s light enough to still easily use to chop wood. We camp a lot so this will be perfect for cutting up some smaller logs of wood. I love the rope and lighter storage in the handle too. I really like the color as well. Thank you Gerber for making an awesome product!

[ Durability is good, and portability is good, does n't take up much room and versatility and comfort and safety, and you can carry a lighter inside of it for starting a bonfire or for just chopping wood for the wood burner

[ Ooooooh yeah this has easily become a new favorite hatchet to add to the collection! Pictures do not do this justice at all, it's got some weight to it that's for sure. Thank you for sending me this to try out.

[ Great Product. This is my second one. I would suggest getting this HD version with the plastic backer plates. Skip the well nuts, and use this instead, you will thank yourself later. Plus install is easier now that you have a something to grip onto from the inside! Rope is plenty long and strong for any Yak/Canoe. The cord has minimal stretch, keep loose for initial install while cord get comfy, then tighten one time after, and you are good to go. As Always, YakAttack made a great product even better!.

[ Does exactly what it ’s suppose to do, good hardware would recommend if you need an anchor trolly, bit pricey but it ’s clean and low profile!!
Survival paracord, often referred to as parachute cord, is a lightweight nylon rope originally used in the suspension lines of parachutes. It is known for its high tensile strength and versatility, making it ideal for a variety of outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and emergency preparedness. Common uses include building shelters, making traps, securing gear, and creating improvised tools.
Survival paracord typically has a tensile strength of around 550 pounds, which is sufficient for many outdoor applications. Factors that can affect its strength include the type of weave, the quality of the materials used, and the diameter of the cord. It's important to choose the right type of paracord for your specific needs, especially in critical situations.
Yes, survival paracord is designed to withstand various weather conditions, including rain, snow, and UV exposure. Its nylon composition offers resistance to moisture and abrasion, making it durable for outdoor use. However, prolonged exposure to harsh elements may affect its lifespan, so it's advisable to store it properly when not in use.
Survival paracord comes in several types, with Type III being the most common, known for its 550-pound tensile strength. Other types may include variations in thickness, strength, and additional features such as reflective strands or inner cores for added functionality. Understanding the differences can help you select the right paracord for your specific survival or outdoor needs.
Survival paracord is an essential component of any emergency preparedness kit due to its versatility and strength. It can be used for securing items, creating makeshift shelters, or even as a tourniquet in emergencies. Including a length of paracord in your kit ensures you have a reliable tool for a variety of situations.
