DSG 48QT High Performance Cooler – Review If you 're looking for a midsize cooler that punches way above its weight in terms of durability and ice retention, the DSG 48QT High Performance Cooler deserves a serious look. After using it in a variety of settings—from flag football games to backyard BBQs and just in my truck bed—this cooler has proven itself to be a reliable, rugged performer. Pros: Made in America – Always a bonus to support quality domestic craftsmanship. Excellent Ice Retention – With proper prep( pre- chilling, smart packing, keeping it shaded), it holds ice for up to 7 days. That ’s impressive performance for a cooler this size. One- Handed Latches – Easy to open and close, even when your hands are full. Built- in Bottle Opener – A small touch, but super handy. Perfect Size – Not too big, not too small. Ideal for sports events, day trips, or quick camping weekends. Color – The gray with cobalt hints is sleek and stands out from your standard cooler. Efficient Drainage – The drain is easy to use, doesn ’ t leak, and saves you from that awkward tipping- to- drain dance. Gasket Seal – Keeps cold in and the elements out. Extremely Sturdy – You can sit or even stand on it without worry—it doubles as extra seating or a step in a pinch. Cons( Sort of): Weight When Full – It ’s a bit heavy when loaded up, but that ’s the tradeoff for serious insulation and performance. No Dry Basket – Would be nice to have a spot to keep food elevated from the ice but still cold. Use Cases& Conditions: I ’ ve used this cooler for post- game treats at flag football, backyard hangouts, and even tucked it under my truck ’s tonneau cover for easy access on the go. It ’s held up perfectly in the varied spring weather in Idaho—ranging from sunny 75°F afternoons to 38°F snow flurries. Final Thoughts: The DSG 48QT High Performance Cooler hits the sweet spot between size, durability, and performance. It ’s built tough, retains ice incredibly well, and looks great doing it. If you ’ re looking for a cooler that can keep up with your weekend adventures and then some, this one is a solid pick. I am a paid endorser and received free products.

he DSG Victory Cooler is a great choice if you ’ re looking for a long duration cooler. Best part is it ’s a fraction of the cost of the other brands. My first impression of this cooler is the build quality and attention to detail. I ’ m always happy to see a product made in the USA as well. The cooler feels sturdy and well made. The lid and hinge both feel strong. I personally like the style of the latches and they are easy to open and close. The carry handles are a thick rope material with rubber grips. I found them comfortable even under the weight of a full cooler. I ’ m impressed with some of the good ideas DSG incorporated. Like the integrated bottle opener which also doubles as part of the ability to put a lock on the lid. I also found the non slip pads on the bottom of the cooler to be helpful when transporting the cooler to keep it from sliding around. I received the cooler as a gift as part of a promotion. But have given my honest opinion and review after personal use.

I have used the 48 QT DSG Victory Cooler for several trips over the last few weeks. The first thing I noticed about it was the excellent build quality and attention to details. It has comfortable rubber handles, which makes carrying it very easy on the hands. The double latch system is super easy to open& close, and the rubber gasket around the inside of the lid really prevents the cold from getting out and the outside temperature from getting in. This cooler also has a built- in bottle opener( which I have not used yet) and an over- sized knob on the attached drain plug. On both of my recent trips, I pre- chilled the cooler with a bag of ice before putting any drinks inside. From there, I simply added minimal ice( 1- 2 bags) just to see how much ice will melt over different periods of use. During my camping trip, we added one large bag of ice on day 1 and at least 40%- 50% of the ice remained on day 3. In fact, when I returned home… I forgot to empty the ice out that night and I was surprised how much ice was still down in the cooler with my remaining water bottles the next morning( day 4). During our last beach outing, I only added one small bag of ice in the cooler. We were only going out for 4 or 5 hours, so I knew we wouldn ’ t need very much. When we finally got back to our vehicle, I tried to drain the water and not much came out at all. I thought maybe the drain plug was blocked… but sure enough, there just wasn ’ t much melted water in the cooler. The cooler was in the sun for the last couple of hours, so I was surprised by how well it retained the ice inside and kept everything super cold. This is a fantastic USA- Made cooler that I can ’ t wait to use on our next family outing! Please Note: I received this product for free as a paid endorser, but have included my own personal, honest opinions after testing this product.

I ’ m a paid endorser and have received free products to test out. I was sent this and honestly, it ’s been a great addition to my outdoor gear. Whether you ’ re camping, tailgating, or just need a reliable cooler for a weekend trip, this one does the job really well. First Impressions Right out of the box, this thing feels solid. The thick foam walls give it a sturdy, well- built feel, and the dual locking mechanisms on the lid make sure everything stays sealed tight. It also has a gasket seal along the top, which helps trap the cold inside. Small details like the built- in bottle opener and the dual handles make it feel like a cooler designed for real- world use. How Well Does It Hold Ice? This cooler is advertised to keep ice for up to seven days, which is pretty impressive. I didn ’ t need it to last that long, but I tested it over a hot weekend, and the ice was still going strong after a couple of days. Even when some of it started melting, the water stayed cold, keeping everything chilled. The drain plug is also a nice touch—it ’s threaded and has a tethered cap, making it easy to drain without making a mess. Using It in Real Life I took it on a camping trip and later used it for a backyard get- together. It comfortably fit 50 cans plus ice, and the front- opening lid made it easy to grab drinks without having to open the entire top. Carrying it wasn ’ t bad either, thanks to the sturdy handles. Final Thoughts If you need a tough, reliable cooler that actually keeps things cold for days, this one ’s a great pick. It ’s well- built, holds a good amount, and has some thoughtful features that make it easy to use. Perfect for camping trips, tailgates, or just having ice- cold drinks ready for a long weekend.

If you 're looking for a high- performance cooler that can keep up with your toughest adventures, the DSG Cooler is a beast. With a 48- quart capacity, it provides plenty of room for food and drinks, making it perfect for camping trips, tailgates, and outdoor excursions. From the moment you pick it up, the rugged, durable build stands out—built to handle anything you throw at it. But it ’s not just about toughness—this cooler holds ice for days. No matter the activity, your food and drinks stay ice- cold for the long haul. The strong carrying handles make transporting it easy, even when fully loaded, and the secure locking mechanism keeps everything sealed tight, locking in the cold and keeping unwanted guests( like raccoons) out. Best of all, it's proudly made in the USA, ensuring top- tier craftsmanship and reliability. If you need a cooler that delivers exceptional insulation, durability, and ease of use, DSG nailed it with this one. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a tough, long- lasting cooler that won ’ t let them down.

We bought the Yeti 65 as a family of 4 for weekend camping trips. It ’s great for storing frozen/refrigerated goods. Shortly after we bought it, we had tornados come through and knocked power out for a little over 24 hours. We immediately threw our freezer foods in the cooler without pre- cooling first. I was shocked that all of our frozen foods were still very much frozen after 24 hours without having the cooler down to temp. 10/10 recommend.
5
Mignon
This is our first Yeti cooler and we 're very happy with how it performed this past weekend. Here in the AZ desert highs were in the 90's with plenty of sunshine. It was easy to pack. The contents and the 2 bags of ice stayed cold from 3am Friday morning through Saturday night. We were in and out of the cooler pulling ice for drinks. As expected, the ice melted but the water was still quite cold to the touch Sunday morning. We 'll be investing in a smaller chest to keep ice in for beverages to minimize raising the temp in the food cooler. Is heavier than expected, definitely `` solid ''!

I bought this last month for Travel Baseball. It is a 100% upgrade from the large Yeti cooler we used last year. It is much easier for my wife to handle from car to field on her own. I recently was sent the new DSG Victory 65 Quart Hard Cooler with Wheels from Dick ’s Sporting Goods. When I took this cooler out for the first time, I quickly realized that this cooler has a lot of great features that make up this cooler. The first thing I noticed was that this is a very well- made quality cooler. It looks and feels like a very durable high- end cooler. The external dimensions are 37. 6 inches high by 29. 6 inches wide and 53. 6 inches long. When empty it weighs 30 pounds and can hold 67 pounds of ice when full. I was able to pack this cooler with ice and drinks for an afternoon outside in the woods with my dog. The ice stayed cold all day and we still had plenty of ice left in the cooler after day three. This must be because of the thick foam insulation and the heavy- duty gasket seal on the lid. Also, the locking mechanisms on the front of the cooler ensured that the lid was tightly closed making sure that everything remained cold. The cooler itself is very easy to maneuver. The swing up handle and dual wheels makes it simple to haul the cooler from the garage to the backyard or to the back of my truck. The swing up handle is extremely well made and the textured handles ensured a sturdy and nonslip grip every time I moved the cooler. Even when fully loaded with ice it still can move with ease. When using the cooler, I never found the dual locking mechanisms tough to use like I have on other coolers. They seemed very well made and integrated flawlessly into the overall cooler design. In fact, hearing them lock in place when I closed the cooler gave me piece of mind that my drinks would stay cold. The placement of the metal bottle opener is in the perfect place for ease of use. After I was done with the cooler the cap for the drain plug easily unscrewed and the cooler drained fast. The cap on the drain is also well made and I am sure that it will stay in place for the life of the cooler and not snap off like what has happened to many other brand name coolers that I have used. All in all, this cooler will come highly recommended from me. It is everything I want in a high- end cooler. It has earned a permanent place in my backyard for cookouts and at the campsite for keeping our food and drinks cold and safe. Best of all it is made in the USA.

I was able to test the new DSG Victory 65 quart Cooler with Wheels from Dick ’s Sporting Goods as part of a promotion. My first and overall thoughts on the cooler is that it seems to be build very well and heavy duty as expected from a cooler of this caliber. The wheels and extended handle of this cooler make it extremely nice to move around as I have other cooler this size and once filled, they get heavy. Unfortunately, I received this cooler in the middle of a cold spell and could not run it through its places in warm or hot weather, so I tested it for ice retention in the house. The cooler did very well and held up to other coolers of this caliber. If you are looking for a well built cooler in the 65 quart range I would highly recommend this cooler as I think you will be happy with it.

I was fortunate enough to be sent the DSG Victory 65 Quart Hard Cooler with Wheels by Dick's Sporting Goods prior to it's release for testing and an honest review. Upon delivery of the cooler, I was immediately impressed with how well built it is. The cooler weighs about 31 pounds empty so it's light enough for a single person to move around while feeling incredibly sturdy. I stood on top of the cooler and it supported my weight( 225 pounds) with zero flex or concerns about breaking it. The latches are very easy to operate while still feeling like a secure latch, so much so that my 4 year old was able to get drinks out by himself. There is a bottle opener built in in metal latch in the middle with an option to padlock your cooler shut. The side handles are a little narrow and do n't give quite as much space to grip the cooler as I would like which makes it a little difficult to lift when it's fully loaded. The wheels and handle are a very nice addition to help move around the cooler since it can easily weigh almost 100 pounds fully loaded. I decided to put the cooler's claim of 8 days of ice retention to the test and it passed with flying colors. Here in Central Florida, the temperatures during my test were in the low 80's each day of the test and the cooler was left outside receiving full sun for about 5 hours of the day and shade for the remaining 5- 6 hours. I did not pre- chill the cooler. I used 40 pounds of ice, a few sodas and a hot dog to keep track of food temperatures. With opening the cooler a few times a day to take pictures, check temps and simulate normal use, the cooler finally lost it's last ice cube after 8 and a half days but the insulation was able to maintain food safe temperatures on the hot dog until the next day. I was very impressed with the cooler's performance and it will be my go- to for all future outings.

I got lucky and was picked as one of the first people to review the new Victory 65 wheeled cooler from DSG, so I decided to take it up north with my father in law to our 10 acre camp in Baldwin, Mi to check on everything and start to get ready for spring. The DSG Victory 65 fit nicely on my suv's hitch carrier, and looks pretty cool riding there. Seems like it is very sturdy without anything I can see that would break or get damaged. The latches work great and are easy to use. The wheels worked well even in frozen snow. Also, for a cooler this size it is n't too heavy like some others I have lifted. I did n't get to test the Ice retention as you can see from the pictures, spring has not yet arrived in Baldwin, Mi like it has down here in the SW part of the state. There are two things about this cooler that set it apart from many premium coolers, first, the wheels do n't take any space from inside, it has a nice clean rectangular shape, and second, the Victory 65 is made in the USA, which is awesome! Overall, this is a really solidly built cooler that I expect to use for years and years. Thank you DSG; Steve Moss 2 Attachments • Scanned by Gmail

I am really impressed with this cooler! I especially love the built- in bottle opener( one less thing to pack for a trip!) and the sunken area by the drain opening – to better collect melted ice. The latches lock in place easily and the rubber gasket provides a secure seal. The wheels roll smoothly, even when the cooler is full and heavy. It kept my items super cold for much longer than I expected. This will be my new go to cooler for all our family camping trips! Of note, I am a paid endorser and have received free products.

The construction is done very well. It seems to be as good a quality or better than others i have purchased. I can ’ t wait to run this down the river.

This cooler turned out to be much more than I even expected. Not only is it a good bit larger than I expected it to be, the quality and thickness of the material is better than I expected. I have no concerns about this being able to float around in the lake with us or even in a pool on a hot summer day. It also has cords making it easy to attach to tubes or the back of the boat to keep it close. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Bought 3- 160 ’s. Typical Yeti. Top notch… Period. Exactly why I buy them.

Great cooler. Keeps ice for long periods of time on multi- day river trips.

This Yeti 160 fits like a glove in the bed of my 2020 Toyota Tundra pickup. Fits perfectly within the width of the truck bed and short enough to fit just under my closed tonneau cover. Pumped this cooler has two different divider slot options for easy organization. Purchased this as a `` base camp cooler. Recommend having a buddy help carry/load to truck whether the cooler is empty or filled. Highly recommend watching Yeti's cooler tips on their website and YouTube channel to get the longest ice retention possible in your cooler- especially on multi- day trips in the outdoors.

I 've had numerous yeti coolers for daily activities like cookouts, beach days, pool parties, etc but I got this one strictly for hunting. With the divider I 'll be able to pack our food for the week and upon return use the other side for my harvest.
