Bought the 3K poles when first available many years ago for mountain hiking. Now a senior( still using same poles), but need for added stability and safety. These poles continue to exceed my needs. Excellent quality materials, top to tips. Cork and EVA GRIP designed correctly- longer length reduces n3ed to constantly adjust overall pole length. Real rubber tips increase traction for better safety. NOT a cheap clay/rubber compound that looks like rubber, but when cold or wet becomes slippery and not as stable. Needs can change over time. Still using my original poles. The added safety and stability become more important as the years add up. They were excellent years ago and continue to be so in Lightweight, strong, superb grips, tips and easy length adjustments in senior years. Superior design. Materials and construction.
