I 've been swimming for decades now and generally stick with one brand of goggles. Find a pair that fits and stay with them was my credo. I then decided to try these TYR Special Ops 2. 0 goggles with my last swim suit order. For some reason I wanted to find out what twice the price got you in a high tech goggle these days. Well, it buys you a lot! These goggles have a wide brim of soft rubber around the eyes which seems easy to angle so they seal your sockets perfectly. The same rubber also forms the nose bridge. It all appears to work together as a unit. Cool! The anti- fog coating works far better than anticipated based on my prior experience. The smoke color has a similar effect to that of polarized sun glasses; it is very effective at cutting down on pool glare. It's far more than just tinted plastic. All in all, I 'm very pleased with my purchase. Finding goggles that fit is worth the effort as they often last you a long time. They are a gift that keeps on giving. This particular TYR style also has a lot going for it in terms of high tech features. Worth every penny, I 'd say. Highly recommended!

I have used these goggles for about 2 weeks of swim practice( 5 days per week, 2 hour practices) and in 2 meets. So far I love these goggles for racing. The goggles feel great while wearing them because it is much more flexible than more traditional goggles like the vanquishers. They are crystal clear in the water. No water ever enters through the goggles while I swim and they stay on great from start to finish. Heck, they even look cool. However I do n't really like them on in practice. They are a little bit to tight for a long practice. I recommend buying these for races and meets, and buying vanquishers for practices.

I bought these in the small size for my 8 year old son for swim team use. He has deep set eyes and we have trouble finding goggles that maintain a good seal around his eyes. Other goggles were sliding when he dove into the water even with frequent strap adjustment. With the special ops goggles, he just puts them on and can concentrate on the swim. The split strap adjusts easily and stays in place too. It does n't slide or pull on his hair. The polarized lenses help him to have clear vision in the water. He says that these are the best goggles that he has ever had.

I was in looking for a couple of golf clubs. I didn ’ t find what I was looking for, but I talked for a few with a gentleman in the golf department, he gave me a good golf club grip tip that has helped my swing. Unrelated, but I purchased some swim goggles while I was in the store that have worked out great.

I am completely satisfied with these goggles. They are compact enough to act as goggles but have the wide view one would expect from a dive mask. The color is fantastic, clear, and crisp. Leaks are practically nonexistent and need only a slight adjustment to have a water tight seal.

When selecting triathlon goggles, consider features such as lens type, fit, and anti-fog capabilities. Look for goggles with polarized or mirrored lenses to reduce glare during outdoor swims. A comfortable, secure fit is essential to prevent water leakage and ensure you can focus on your performance.
Different lens types can significantly impact visibility during a triathlon. Polarized lenses help reduce glare from the sun, making them ideal for outdoor conditions, while mirrored lenses can enhance visibility in bright light. Clear lenses are better suited for low-light conditions, so choose based on the environment you expect to swim in.
Triathlon goggles are typically made from durable materials such as silicone for the seals and straps, and polycarbonate for the lenses. Silicone provides a comfortable and secure fit, while polycarbonate lenses are lightweight and impact-resistant, ensuring clear vision during your race. High-quality materials can enhance both comfort and durability.
The fit of triathlon goggles is crucial for optimal performance. A proper fit prevents water from leaking in, which can be distracting and slow you down. Additionally, a comfortable fit allows you to focus on your swim technique without constantly adjusting your goggles.
Yes, triathlon goggles can be used for various water activities such as swimming in pools, open water swimming, and even recreational water sports. Their design typically offers a secure fit and good visibility, making them versatile for different aquatic environments.
