I definitely recommend these leg sleeves because they provide maximum protection from falling on the court and even look good with just one leg sleeve on. However, I recommend wearing both, just for protection against fouls that may cause you to fall on the ground.

My 6 year old was getting bumps and bruises playing against other older kids in basketball from all the reaching and tripping that goes on In youth sports. He started wearing these a week ago in practices to test if he was still able to be mobile and not restricted by the compression and the padding. It was non issue for him. In fact he played harder knowing he was protected by the knee pads. He even got arm sleeve pads and same result; it didn ’ t affect his shot and was more confident knowing if he ever had hard fall on his elbow he was protected there was well. After a week and multiple falls on the court it ’s been durable. No signs of wear at all. He can ’ t wait until upcoming winter basketball season knowing he can play his best being protected. It is worth the price knowing he is confident and find it very useful equipment to own.

[ I bought a pair of the white Pearl Izumi sun sleeves last year and loved them. Problem: they 're white so they can pick up dirt and bike grime easily. After repeated use and washing( the seams came apart near the top armband as well), I decided to go with a black pair this summer. We 're just starting spring in Georgia( 60 to 70 degrees, clear skies) and I have no complaints about getting too hot. We 'll see how I feel come the 95- degree days in August!
