These shoes are extremely comfortable. I took them on vacation and didn ’ t bring any other pair of shoes. I wore them the entire time and my feet felt like they were walking on a cloud. I purchased these to walk my 3 dogs in the dewy mornings of the Spring, Summer and Fall months in the South and they have not disappointed! For the VERY reason I purchased them, I give them a 100!! I have never been able to wear the Alpine sneaker because the forefoot area pinched against my pinky toe, even though I do not have wide feet. After seeing the website video for these, I decided to give them a try. This version of the Alpine definitely has more room up front, which is great! However, I do believe these might run a bit long and they have more `` volume '' in general. If I wore a medium hiking sock, these would fit well, however, I do not plan to wear them this way. l I ordered my normal size of 9 and I am going to try the 8. 5.
