I fitted into the Steel HL shafts from graphite JPX. These are rocket launchers! I ’ ve never hit more greens. Put them in the bag in April and my handicap went from 17 to an 11. Playing the best golf of my life, and these irons are a big part of the improvement.

Read that these finished 1st for accuracy and 1st for forgiveness for players distance irons, so I decided to give them a try. They are better than I expected! Feel is very good. Accuracy is great. And I do n't struggle controlling distance as I do with some other players distance irons. Highly recommend! Great job Wilson!

8 HCP with iron play being a strength of my game. Paired with Nippon Modus3 Tour 120 S. A quick shoutout to Wilson ’s custom shop for doing such a nice job, and with so many options. As for the clubs, feel is fantastic and control is on par with other top current CBs such as ZXi7. Good strikes will be met with a solid and satisfying thud, and the ball feels fast of the face, but not uncontrolled. Easy to launch and easy to spin. Forgiveness is shockingly good. Assuming you ’ re not hitting it off the hosel or ungrooved toe, and are somewhere between the 2nd and 6- 7th grooves, you can expect distance to be within ~5 yards of your ideal strike even on the most egregious of misses( as defined for a reasonably competent player). Turf interaction is comfortable and predictable. Overall, a real nice club and one that I anticipate I ’ ll have in my bag for a while.

After playing with various irons over the years such as Callaway, Taylormade I honestly am very surprised on how exceptional these irons really are in comparison. I am a 6 HC and hands down the best irons I have ever owned or tried. Wherever I am aiming these irons just listen and do their thing, I am seriously blown away how good these are and for the price point nothing touches these. Well done Wilson golf division team for putting together an exceptional set of irons for golfers around the world.

I have been playing golf for 20 years, and I have struggled with clubs that do n't work for me. I took a chance with the DYNAPWR Max irons, and I am forever grateful to the YouTubers who were correct when they said these clubs are easy to hit and are forgiving. The XB irons provide an excellent transition for players seeking to move beyond traditional players' irons, as the distance differences compared to my Cobra King Tour irons are not extreme. The stock shaft delivers outstanding ball flight and control, making the transition to the XB irons seamless. Additionally, I appreciate that Wilson designed these irons to be easily integrated into a combo set with the CBs and blades. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.

I bought these irons last week. I went with the graphite shaft, and I love them. They are very forgiving and have great balance and feel. I did pick up 10 yards avg. with my 7 iron, PW, and GW. With the graphite shaft my club head speed did change as well. Great job WILSON, ONCE AGAIN!! Do n't sleep on Wilson.

Somehow managed to get a set of these prior to official launch. Mightily impressed after a few range sessions. These feel great on striking the ball, with a good mix of power and control. They feel very much like true players irons but also seem to be sneaky long. They look fantastic although the power holes are not to all tastes. Definitely try these if you are looking for a players distance iron.

I got my custom ordered D9's forged irons last Friday. I must say I am totally impressed! These clubs are just as long or longer than my Titliest AP1's and the dispersion is incredible. Oh yeah, the feel of a forged iron.. it has been many years since I felt that sweetness! If you are in the market for a new set of irons, do n't pass up an opportunity to give these a test drive!

If ever there was a iron that ticked all the boxes, the D9 forged passed with flying colors! Looks, Feel, and performance in aces. Oh, and forgiveness is dang good. Good enough that this old 70 year old can play them with no issues at all. Thank you Wilson!

I 've played a few rounds with these now and they are everything as advertised: long, accurate, with a soft forged feel. I can see why MyGolfSpy has them as the# 2 most desired players distance iron.
When selecting men's golf irons, consider features such as the clubhead design, which can influence forgiveness and accuracy. Look for the material of the clubhead, as this affects durability and feel. Additionally, pay attention to the shaft flex and length, which should match your swing style and strength for optimal performance.
Choosing the right men's irons depends on your skill level and playing style. Beginners may benefit from more forgiving designs that help with accuracy, while intermediate and advanced players might prefer clubs that offer greater control and feedback. It's also important to consider your swing speed and the type of courses you typically play.
Forged irons are typically made from a single piece of metal, offering a softer feel and more control, which many skilled players prefer. Cast irons, on the other hand, are made from multiple pieces and can provide more forgiveness and distance. Your choice should depend on your playing style and what you prioritize in performance.
Yes, certain irons can perform better in specific playing conditions. For example, if you often play in wet or soft conditions, you might prefer irons with wider soles for better turf interaction. Conversely, if you play on firm, fast courses, a more traditional design might help with precision and control.
The grip on men's golf irons is crucial as it affects your control and comfort during play. A proper grip ensures that you can maintain a secure hold on the club, which is essential for consistent swings. Consider the material and size of the grip, as these factors can significantly influence your performance.
