The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it 's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

It truly was made to provide protection to the person wearing it in a variety of different situations and climates. I love that I can wear it in my snowy hometown, but still take it with me on a vacation to a sunny destination. The only thing that I would consider changing on this jacket would be the adjustable features. The adjustable closures would occasionally hit me in the face while I was running.
