On most hoodies, thumb holes are in the seam along the wrist, and that shortens the sleeve length, so the thumb hole strangles my thumb( I have long arms). This shirt has thumb loops along the end of the sleeve. So much more comfortable! I also like the overlapping lower sides of the hood; nice coverage without being too tight around the neck.

I 'm happy with this sun hoodie! the material is soft and I think will be comfortable on the trail. this is going to replace a polyester sun shirt I have that gets super stinky on long hikes. I especially like the hood. This is really good coverage that will come over a hat to create more face shade on the sides of my face. as a 40- something, I am all about keeping my mug out of the sun, to avoid sun spots and wrinkles. This is a great hoody, and will be perfect for cool fishing mornings! The inside fleece is super soft and the outer material feels durable. I own many Patagonia jackets, all in size M, but the M was too small for this one, specifically in my broad gymnast shoulders& arms. I sized up to a L for a much better fit. The arms also run a little short, so I 'm thankful for a size up to have the sleeve go down to my wrist.
