Perfect for long running! The pockets are amazing! I can hold 3 gels in each pocket. Then there is room for one in the back pocket too! You can also put a phone there if you want. The only issue is with the material. The softness makes the shorts very comfortable, but the inner thigh rubs the material down a bit. If you run super long, like I do, over time that material may wear thin and tear a small hole. At least it did for me. Otherwise, if you do n't marathon train, then you 're probably fine. I 'll probably buy another pair when I 'm back to running shorter races.

I ’ m not one typically for running in short running shorts—I prefer fitted, mid- length bike shorts. However, with the DC humidity, I wanted to try something. These are awesome! No chafing( I use Body Glide to help), comfortable fit on waist, and amazing phone pocket that lets me run without needing a separate holder for it. I just came back to buy a second pair!( If you ’ re debating colors, the bright pink is fantastic and so vibrant! Please make these in more bright colors, Nike—maybe an orange or a vibrant purple or green?)
