I have never, in my adult life, worn anything smaller than a 10 in any shoe( boot, sneaker, sandal, heel) but the size 10 in these was considerably larger than I could wear! [ I wore these while hiking in Sequoia National Park in the winter. They were super comfortable! I walked through snow, small streams of water, and muddy areas. My feet stayed dry and warm. They had good traction. Some snow did get in over the top when I walked in snow deeper than the height of the boots, but when I put on some snow shoes with them and that kept me from sinking in too deep. They did n't feel too bulky or heavy when walking in areas without snow. I choose these because they are made with vegan materials. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly. I live in a cold and icy place. I was needing a boot that I did n't need to lace up, kept my toes a bit more warm, and had traction. This boot is that! I previously was wearing my blundstones but on- 20 F nights I just was n't having it anymore! I 've now been wearing these Bogs for a few weeks and in( almost) all sorts of condition. They were definitely a bit stiff the first 2 weeks I 'd say. But now my foot easily slips in and out of the shoe. I noticed a little bit of rubbing on my ankle in those first two weeks but that has gone away. I have high arches and usually put some inserts into my shoes. I tried that for a bit with these and found it to be a little tight. They are comfortable without the inserts but I might try again in the future once they are completely broken in. Overall, happy with my purchase! I have only kind of slipped on the ice once- which is great great improvement from before! Woohoo!
