Yes, this was expensive but when I got it, I could n't believe how well constructed it was. The fit was perfect and contoured. It was lined and the fleece was dense, with heavy duty zippers. It 's so stylish I almost do n't want to wear it for everyday.

I had so many questions about this jacket when buying online and not having the opportunity to try it on first. The first question was sizing bc I read reviews saying it was too big. I bought based on the actual measurements of the jacket. I have a medium that is 22 '' in the chest. I usually wear L or XL in women 's clothes, I 'm happy w this choice bc the jacket is a little more fitted which is good given the weight and bulk. The other thing I wondered was whether it stretches. People said it was stiff, and it is. I 'm assuming it might loosen up w wear over time. There is some stretch in the jacket and it is the perfect amount to wear this jacket more fitted.

I ’ ve had this amazing jacket for 3 years now so I feel qualified to review it. It is, as are all Fjallraven products, built to heirloom, durable quality. I ’ ve worn it.. a lot…in many weather situations and it still looks brand new! Regarding others reports that it is “ stiff ” …this is only relative to other, less robust fabrics. Example, I have the Kaitum jacket also, which is considerably lighter and more flexible but also isn ’ t quite as warm and wind impermeable. I found the sizing to be pretty true to size. I scored mine on an end of season sale and literally couldn ’ t be happier. Would ’ ve been worth every penny at full price! I wear this in winter with a long sleeve shirt and in fringe seasons and it rocks em all. I ’ d buy with confidence!

The Flagship store was up the street so I stopped in and met the friendliest and turned out to be great spokesman for Cotopaxi. I immediately gravitated to th Bacano Fleece, mahogany with light blue trim. Great fit and cozy. I heard about the design studio above the store and found a great jacket and maybe an even better company since my sales guy was the best spokesperson for his employer any company could ask for. You know you have found something great when the product is fabulous but the guy at the store is invested in his product and employer! I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ” and weight 125 pounds. As a reference, I have a slim build with short torso( 34B). I bought size S of this jacket in Green Cascade. From fashion perspective, this jacket is quite nice. Don ’ t expect to go hiking in this though. Perfect to go out with friends or run errands when it ’s cool or chilly outside( not freezing: it is not an extreme pile). Material is not the softest honestly but it is somewhat windproof. I ’ m still on the fence on this one. Love the retro vibe.

Really enjoy this coat. I live in Central Indiana, our winter weather fluctuates a lot with winter temps ranging from the 40s to- 15 windchills. This coat works as a great solution for both. For the warmer days the fleece insert can be removed and colder days the insert is plenty warm enough for daily use( short walks, grocery shopping and such). I do want to note that I have different proper low temp coat for long hours playing in the snow and outdoor work that I don ’ t mind tearing up. However I do think the Columbia coat would hold up through such treatment as well. I ’ m also a small statured woman 4 ’ 11 ” 115 lbs. The xs fit, but I went with the small so I have the option for layering. The adjustable cinching at the waist allows to make the slightly larger coat still form fitting and it doesn ’ t feel bulky. The arms are a little long, but that ’s normal with all clothing at my size.

[ Really like the length and lighter weight. I am 5 ’ 4 ” about 115lbs and the XS was still a bit large. It does have a cord in the back you can cinch up to make smaller around the waist area. Doing so does cause the front to “ pucker ” out a bit. Still a comfortable coat with the thickness I was looking for with Michigans 30- 40 degree temps.
