I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I work as a construction project manager in tropical Costa Rica, this shirt is nearly perfect. It 's light, it shields you from the sun, and the reinforced stitches makes it durable. I purchased this hoodie for sun protection on a recent 9- day backpacking trip. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! As for durability and wind- proofness, I will bring it on my next two canoe trips this July and report back:)

Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It 's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men 's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

My sun- worship days are over. Too many skin cancers. But that does n't mean I do n't love being outdoors in nature. These Walter Hagan performance shirts are lightweighr, stylish. And they protect my all- ready sun- damaged arms and back and chest from more damage. They travel well and dry ready to wear. I like wearing them to hike, walk the dog, and to travel. They fit true to size if you want a loose comfortable fit. I wear XL but needed them in a hurry so I bought what was available, a 2XL. Ir 's a bit too loise but I 'm going to be in upper- elevation mountains so a layer under them will keep me warmer and make them doable for this trip. On the golfcourse, you wo n't want to do that. [ color is great, fit is great, and I love how they 've altered the thumb hole approach most sun hoodies have. On most hoodies, thumb holes are in the seam along the wrist, and that shortens the sleeve length, so the thumb hole strangles my thumb( I have long arms). This shirt has thumb loops along the end of the sleeve. So much more comfortable! I also like the overlapping lower sides of the hood; nice coverage without being too tight around the neck.

I 'm 5' 7 '', 125lb lean and got the Medium thinking it would be nice and loosey goosey on me. Either this shirt runs small or the gains from the gym are catching up to me( doubtful) but this shirt was surprisingly tight in the shoulders and upper arms. So be warned, if you 're busty and broad( I 'm not) you might want to skip this shirt altogether, not sure that sizing up will work this time around. The fabric is not your typical polyester sun shirt, it 's very much a buttery- soft cotton- esque fabric which will be interesting to see how it actually Performs in the sun and spray( you know, if you actually wear it for Fishing).
