[ So I have a supremely difficult time finding pants of any kind. I 'm short( 5'3 '') and pear- shaped; wide hips and a big butt. When I bump into counters or chairs, I surprise myself. If you 're like me, it 's a particular kind of misery. And if you 're like me, when you try on a pair of pants that fit you, and do n't slide down giving you saggy crotch, you want every color and maybe back ups. For me, this is that pair of snow pants. These feel great, look great, and I 'm so glad I got them. They 're very thin, so definitely for the warmer days. The Columbia 's recommended size for me was M short, but short was unavailable. I 've also been duped by the auto- size recommendations, so I bought these in both M regular and L regular. The M 's were tight on my butt, but the L 's were comically large. Like there was no- point- in- zipping- them- huge. I 'm keeping the mediums, and will continue to dream of dropping a pound. They are a bit tight in the upper leg joint area when I sit or lift my leg up, but it 's not that big of a deal. I 'm not rock- climbing or doing yoga in these things. I LOVE the adjustable waist, omg, what brilliance. That may sell these alone! The length is a bit long for me, but with boots on, I do n't think that will matter too much. I was surprised that the elastic around the ankles was so loose, but maybe that 's how they 're supposed to be to fit around boots... just seemed too loose. Overall, great pants.

[ These are one of the most flowy, lightweight, and breathable pants I have ever worn to the gym. I can pretty much do any activity in these as they are well fitted at the waist and have zero restrictions anywhere! These are extremely high- waisted; so if you have a short torso, these might not be for you as barely any of your midriff or the style of the waist band are showing. For me, I don ’ t like showing my midriff so I don ’ t mind how high they are. I love that the waist band is elastic but only worry about the future wears/washes that might cause it to lose its elasticity. We shall see. In addition, I love that I can style these up or down depending on the day ’s activities; I ’ ve worn them for a business casual look and as a sporty look! And the pockets! I love that these have relatively deep pockets to hold my stuff. This piece was the cherry on top!

[ These Nike pants are interesting to say the least. Typically when you think of Nike, you think of sports, athletics, workouts, etc. These pants tend to lean more on the casual side. More of an `` athleisure '' pair than a workout pair. The bottom( ankle) part flares out almost like a boot cut pair of jeans, almost covering my entire feet. This has proven to be cumbersome when doing any high intensity workouts. The highest level of activity I would recommend is power walking or just something to wear when running errands. The material is incredibly soft and super lightweight. The waistband is super comfortable and not restraining at all. The dimensions fit perfectly so I definitely recommend true to size unless you really want an over- sized or form- fitting look. The thing I love the most about these is the very minimal branding. The only logo is above the left pocket and you can barely notice it being that the pants are black and the logo is black. Overall, I recommend these if you are looking for a casual pair of pants but I do not recommend them if you are looking for a new pair of workout pants.

I am 5'3 and definitely need to get them hemmed, I have been wearing them with platform boots but it would be great to wear these with sneakers. If you are tall or have long legs, these would be great for you, they 're just about 4 '' too long for me. I think( once hemmed) I could wear these for tennis or pickleball and they would be great for that! There is good stretch and the pockets could hold tennis balls. Overall, these pants are great, super lightweight and comfy, just wish they came in different lengths!

I like the way these pants fit with the taper. They can be dressed up for casual or be worn as activewear depending on what you wear with them. They are the only plain and simple jogger- style black pants I have found in women 's sizing for officiating. They are n't baggy. They are tapered but without a cuff or notch so the bottom looks clean. They have regular front and back pockets with no extra seams or decoration. They have no belt loops and the waist tie can be inside and unseen. I 'm 5'6 and the length works for me because they are meant to be a little shorter so they are n't bunching at the bottom like some pants are for me. I bought 2 pair because it was so hard to find a basic pant like this. I hope they hold up after multiple washings, So far it has been fine. I wish they were a little cheaper or went on sale, but as much as I have worn them, I felt it was worth it.

I am impressed with my Carhartt Poly- wool bottom. I received the thermal as part of a Carhartt Crew Field Test, but I will be ordering two more complete sets. I am truly amazed at how well this bottom works to keep me warm. One must understand, I am constantly cold, so to me, this is amazing. I am 5ft 3in, and weigh 115lbs, and the small works well for me. I have laundered it, with no ill effects. It has retained it 's shape and fit very well. The bottom also fits perfectly under skinny jeans, without bunching or showing. I live in Iowa, and it gets cold here. While wearing this pair of thermal bottoms, I stayed warm. It really goes long way in cutting the harsh winds we get out here on the prairie. I can honestly recommend this thermal bottom to anyone who gets cold in the winter.

I have 7 pairs of these in different colors. They are hands down my favorite pants. Bought my first pair for golf but loved them so much I bought 6 more and wear them as every day casual dress pants for work. The fabric can snag easy if you are doing things non work or golf related. I had one pair snag climbing over a horse fence and one get a rough spot from carrying a skateboard with the rough grip side touching it but that would happen to any pants of this material. Stick with the normal golf or business and they last forever.

I love these pants! With the cold weather approaching fast, I 've been wearing them almost every day at the crag. They are a great layer to belay in. I usually just throw them on over my leggings, take them off right before I start climbing, and throw them back on once I return to the ground. The stretchdown material is super durable, so I never have to worry about snagging or ripping a hole in them, and the stretch factor is insane! They are the most comfortable puffy pant I 've had thus far. The whole stretchdown line has proven to withstand a sport climbing season in the Red and a bouldering season in Chattanooga, so I do n't expect anything less from these pants. I recommend going up one size so they can fit over your pants/leggings comfortably. I usually wear leggings so going up one size was enough for me.

This will be my first winter working as an apprentice ski guide in the PNW, and I ca n't wait to have this in my pack for big days and overnights! I ordered a medium- long and love the fit- usually somewhere between 8- 10 in women's pants, but the long inseam is a must and I LOVE that MHW offers this- I will usually look here first for new pants for any season because of this option. The elastic ankles are a little tight but fit well inside of rubber/rain/snow boots well. Thrilled with the pockets- the zippered pocket is big enough for a phone or a wallet and the hand pockets are toasty warm. Also love the integrated belt closure and design of the waist in general- no bunchy or tight elastic but a snug fit if adjusted so. I 've found stretch- down to be very durable, read: sitting on wood rounds, on a rough hut bench, tailgate- not an issue. With the excellent durability and comfortable fit I will be taking this pants with me on several overnights in huts this winter and definitely on any winter- camp/ski trips. Best attempt at down pants I 've seen so far...

I need my gear to perform both while patrolling and teaching classes, which usually involves temperature extremes and a lot of transitions between high output activities like skinning and digging and rest periods during transitions and lecture/discussion. I also need gear that is durable and can withstand several days in a row of use and abuse. I ’ m usually a small, but have long legs( a 34 ” inseam) so I got the Small Longs and they fit great. I ’ ve been on the hunt for a cozy pair of down pants that I can use for really cold days in the field and as a quick way to warm up after skiing, and the Stretchdown pants have filled this need for me. They are my new go to for after teaching or patrolling because they are both warm( thanks to the down insulation) and incredibly comfortable. I ’ ve worn down pants in the past that were bulky and slippery, but the way these are stitched keeps them relatively low profile and the stretchy fabric is soft and quieter. The full length is great for cozy comfort, and the ankle cuffs are stretchy enough that I can pull them up over my calf so that I can still wear them with ski boots. These pants are great for anyone that needs a warm, down base layer for cold winter missions or winter camping as well as people like me that want something toasty and comfortable to throw on after a day on the slopes. If you are planning on always using them as a layer while skiing, you might want to go with something ¾ length, but for versatility and comfort, these are the move. They ’ ve also become a desert trip staple for during the off- season when I need something warm for hanging by the fire after the sun goes down.

The fit is great, I 'm usually a medium 8/10 and the medium fits perfectly with a little extra room in the butt/thighs for mobility with wool baselayer on. Very glad I did n't size up. The pants run a tad short, probably a 30 inch inseam for the regular. They are n't too puffy and look quite nice for what they are. Toasty warm. Super excited to wear these all winter!

I bought these in November. I teach Tai Chi outdoors year round and always walking on the Maine coast. I needed insulated stretchy pants. Couldn ’ t get the Patagonia nano air pant and when I saw these, had to have them. The price is steep and wasn ’ t sure how they would hold up. Every time I put them on, I am so grateful. They are light, stretchy and warm but not too warm. I ’ ve worn them at 40 degrees down to about 15 so far. Even had a wicked gale wind as we did our slow set and they were perfect. These pants fit slightly loose and I found that a pair of silk long undies take care of any cool breeze. I can move into lower postures in Tai Chi easily and the warmth keeps my knees from aching. They are perfect for long walks in the cold. One complaint might be that they are a little slim for athletic calves and a zipper there might nice. Also, if you don ’ t wear either leggings or long underwear underneath, you might feel some coolness but not cold. Silk is the perfect under layer. I ’ m 5 ’ 7 ” 135 bought a small.

I got these pants in the spring for field work( I work in environment). I ended up wearing them all summer and was impressed how well they handled bushwacking in thick forest and shrubs without getting shredded. The big pockets are very useful to keep your things within reach at all time. In the fall I went for a 5- day backpacking trip and I was absolutely impressed by their versatility. We had some hot days, and the vents allowed me to stay comfortable. We had a night of pouring rain and the next day everybody got their pants soaked by the wet vegetation. The G- 1000 fabric was just water repellant enough to keep me dry. Finally we went over a snowy mountain pass, and the hooks allowed me to tie the pants to my laces and keep the snow from getting into my boots. Overall the only thing these pants could n't handle was the darn chipmunk that chewed a hole through the pocket one night to get at the couple peanuts that were left in there!

The Keb trouser is my favorite Fjallraven pant. I sometimes call it a technical sweat pant. It is THAT comfortable. These are my go- to pants for colder mountain biking temperatures and spring skiing. The botton system at the ankle makes for a good jogger style fit. Or you can loosen it up to fit over a bigger boot. Despite the two zipper vents I find that these trousers start to feel a bit too toasty for temps 65 degrees farenheit and warmer. Check out the abisko lite trekking trouser for a comparable style made with a lighter weight fabric.

I ’ m hard on gear, especially clothing when in the mountains. After loving my first pair of Kebs, I bought a second and they ’ re quickly replacing most of my softshell- style mountain pants. The side zips are great for venting the legs on sunny days on the glacier. This is the first time I ’ ve owned Fjallraven hiking pants. I already own two of their jackets in multiple colors, so I wanted to try their pants out. I have a slightly curvy, petite body( 5 ’ 3 ”, 120 lbs, 26 ” waist) and ordered a size 4 with a 30 ” inseam. I wanted a looser fit to be comfortable during activities or just lounging at home, and to have room for a base layer in the winter. The waist is definitely too large for me, but they fit perfectly everywhere else. I can easily tuck in a shirt to fill the gap, or just wear a belt. Purchased these pants, that I have been looking at for some time, for Alaskan travels. I was able to wear them multiple times on rainy days and then the versatility of just touring. Made my packing list much smaller because they are so versatile. I am 5 ’ 6 ”, 57 years old and 138 pounds. Leggings are the only thing that I have ever been able to wear hiking/ backpacking until now. Although leggings are great to wear while hiking, they are sometimes not durable enough for parts of the trail, but they were the only pant that came up high enough on my waist and had room for my hips and thighs. The Nikka, however, does both AND they add much more durability and confidence to my hikes. They also have bigger pockets which allow more room for storage. The stretch fabric through the midsection and thighs make rock scrambling and uneven terrain much more comfortable than a regular hiking pant as well.

A very versatile pant as most CALIA items are! This high waisted slim fit pant is so comfortable. The waist band is so flexible so I can see how it would be perfect for golf. I ’ ve actually paired it with a blazer and worn to work and I ’ ve also worn to my son ’s baseball game. The UPF fabric is perfect for the outdoors and the baseball field dust just wiped right off. The fabric has a nice texture to it. I chose to line dry with no ironing needed. The front pockets are very deep and I can fit my iPhone 15 Pro Max in them. [ I have now worn these black Dri Fit pants with adjustable ankle elastic several times. It took me a minute to figure out that after I tighten the elastic, I need to hide the cinches by tucking them into the pants at the ankle. I would like a more elegant solution for that, but it was really nice to be able to adjust the ankle fit. The pants are versatile. I ’ ve worn them out walking in various temps and they kept me perfectly comfortable. I expect that they will be really nice for indoor workouts as well. I wore them kayaking on a warm day and they not only kept me cool but also kept me pretty dry! The pants look great with a minimal tee or tank top. I have also worn them with a sweatshirt when it was cooler. I ’ m at the point now where I just throw them into my travel bag no matter where I ’ m going, because they are likely going to be useful.

I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” and the length is perfect, it covers my shoes/cleat, which I like and look for with warm- up pants. The cinch ’s at the ankles are extra and I appreciate it. I pull them up when I need to cool down or to put on my shinguards, socks, cleats and/or running shoes. I love the high waist and it ’s just enough tightness to keep them up but not too tight so I can ’ t pull them down and take them off easily. The breathable pockets are nice and deep enough for my keys and phone.

I thought they would be hot however I wore them mid 70s and was very comfortable. Besides the stretch my favorite part is the cinch at the bottom. Although I do wish they made them in short.
