Just ran my third marathon, and I chose a new sports bra because I wanted something to hold my phone( I hate running races with a running belt, and my shorts had a little too much bounce)! This sports bra held my phone in place to the point where I was never rudely reminded it was there. Also, it's quite easy to get your phone in and out of, which is a huge plus! In terms of chafing, which is what I was honestly most worried about for this bra for this long of a distance, I did n't notice anything painful during the race or after, so it gets an A+ for that! One thing I will note is that it can be a little restrictive. I 'm not too well- adorned in the breast department, so I did n't have much of a problem, but it is highly supportive, and that may come with some unwanted compression!

So I 'm one of those weirdos that only wears sports bras, and have for my entire life. I hate traditional bras and I love compression-- like, the flatter the better. I do n't want to feel any movement in my chest area. I 've also been `` blessed '' with boobs that just want to flop and have a tendency to stretch out all of my sports bras. For reference, I 'm 5' 5 '', ~138 lbs and I 'm around a 32 D. Medium is perfect for me. The only caveat is that most of my activity leans toward medium impact-- I 'm a climber, so I take lots of hard bouldering falls and spend long days in the mountains, but I do n't do much sustained high impact activity like running or crossfit, so if either of those are your jam, take my recommendation with a grain of salt.:) Anyway, I 'm 6 months into wearing this bra daily, and I love it so much. I was a little leery of the adjustment buckles on the front before trying it on, but they 're actually very slim and low profile. I do n't notice them and I have n't had to adjust them yet, and they do n't stand out under my shirts. The amount of compression is just right-- snug but comfortable, like a hug. The mesh is breathable, wicks well, and so far has been impressively odor- resistant. Best of all, no flopping! It's the first sports bra I 've owned that I can wear all day, transitioning from activity to activity, and have n't felt like I 'm either being suffocated or drowning in my own sweat. I can spend a strenuous day hiking or climbing, sweat a bunch, and come back into civilisation without feeling like I need to change right away because it dries super quickly and amazingly(!), does n't stink or give me rashes. And I have n't even managed to stretch it out yet-- it still feels almost as snug and comfortable as when it was new. I 'm honestly impressed with the combination of performance, durability, and comfort. Most of my sports bras start out great but become borderline unusable after a few months and a couple of washes. Not this one. For me, personally, this is a winner-- I 'm a convert and it might be the only bra I buy from here on out.

I just purchased my third Alate bra. The newest update seems to have a slightly thicker back band and bigger clasp, which makes it easier to close and offers a bit more support than my other ones. The straps are stretchy and super comfortable, while also being adjustable. I wear these bras everyday, they are so comfortable! I am an athleisure junky. I have tried all the brands and this top is SO comfortable, functionable and versatile. I own it in 5 colors. It has removable modesty cups if you want to wear it alone and it looks fabulous with high waist leggins, joggers or jeans. It does n't cut too close to the armpit and gives lots of room for movement. The fabric is soft and breathable and does n't feel all polyesterey and sports like, but rather like a comfortable high quality top. Love it.
