The size guide was spot on and the shirts did exactly what we wanted them to do which was to stop their shoulder and elbow pads from pinching them. The benefit we did not know was it kept those pads from shifting during play. The shirts do not hold body odour after washing and they dry quickly so can be washed in a hotel sink and hung up to dry. The snap is very difficult to open and close, so it can be hard for a child to do. It was hard for me to unfasten. It's great that there is a waist adjustment inside.
