These came just in time for me to shovel my driveway. I thought the elements were on the backs of the hands so was uneasy with gripping a snow shovel, but it must have been okay. I did n't think with the elements on the palms of the hands, that my hands would stay warm. But, when I got inside and took them off, my hands were warm. They are huge( I 'm sure intended for a man's hands), but I made it work. In the long run, I 'm very happy with them. Will probably only wear them at home because of the way they look on me, but that's okay too. Like that they run off of normal batteries instead of a power pack that could eventually stop charging. Like the battery pack pocket on the back of the glove. Did n't really notice the weight of the batteries. All good.

My hands always go numb from the cold below 15 degrees. I ’ ve tried top tier mittens and wool liners to no avail. With these mittens I skied all day at 10 degrees and two breaks and kept my hands warm. I used medium and low settings most of the time and still had half the battery left at the end of the day. I can ’ t wait to go again this week and see how they do in near zero temperatures. Definitely worth the price.

Just what my cold fingers ordered! I have Raynaud ’s and have tried everything with no luck. These are great with a wool glove liner and I have happy fingers. Two warn thumbs up! Finally found a pair of mittens that have a removable liner( for washing) that stays put when you put mittens on and off. Fleece liner is comfortable, not bunchy, and so warm. Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. Also love the tough exterior on the palm side-- seem like they will be long lasting. Hestra is my new favorite brand-- I also bought the white leather ones for cross- country skiing.

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). They are excellent. I added a Hot Hands hand warmer to each mitten and they kept my fingers toasty. I could even take the mittens off, use my fingers to put some nuts on bolts, and put the mittens back on.... No problem. No more painfully cold fingers.

Got these for my mother and she has really liked them for cold windy walks with the dogs. While they are great for walking and casual outdoor activities I would not recommend them for skiing or any rougher conditions. They are a softer material that doesn ’ t have the tough material on the palm. Overall they are great mittens for walking and staying warm.

I wore these for a week ski trip through- 15 to- 20 C weather and they were plenty warm. The insulation in the palm compressed from using ski poles, but they still worked very well. For the money, they far surpassed expectations. Sizing chart was accurate and they fit as expected.
