I never would have thought that I would buy and wear a one piece swimsuit as a 55 yr old woman--- far too revealing. However, I really like this swimsuit! It will feel very snug, but it has held up quite well to the chlorine and wringing out. I 've been using it twice a week for several months, and it appears almost new. You MUST order two sizes up. So, if you are normally an 8, you need to buy a 12. And it will still feel very snug. I like how the legs are n't too high, and the lycra does n't give out( sag) in the behind. It's tight and form- fitting, just as a speedo brief should be, to minimize drag while swimming at the gym. I got a dark blue one, and a white one. The white one is actually thicker and more durable than the dark blue one and as such is just as opaque as the dark blue one. With the blue one, all that's covering your bum is a single, gauzy layer, while the white one feels less risque as it has two additional layers covering your bum. Despite the name, the side panels of these suits are more like 2 '', not 1 ''. Still, looks much better than the typical 3 '' briefs. You just have to have nice legs and butt to show off, because this suit exposes your bare thighs and part of your bum. The speedo does ride up a bit and have to adjust it after diving, but that's expected for any skimpy swimsuit.

I always run into problems with swim bottoms at the leg openings and being too snug. No matter what size I try, they always cut into the tops of my thighs while the waistband sags and it just looks incredibly unflattering. This swim skirt, while not really a traditional swim bottom, eliminates this problem. I feel a bit like I am cheating by wearing this but I also feel less self conscious. This is for those who are looking for shorts that do n't ride up on the legs. These Jammers go down the leg to about three inches above the knee. They have a close fit but are not tight. they are true to size. They feature a wide waist band that holds well. The material is not as soft as some of the other items by Dolfin. It seems thinner as well. The only real problem with them is that they have a large, stiff, tag on the backside that can cause irritation.

I am a middle- aged woman who loves to swim.( Specs: 51 years old, 5' 5 '', 135 lbs; medium- sized jammers; whatever excess weight I have is all located on my derriere.) These Dolfin Jammer shorts are ideal. They hug the body and create no drag in the water. They are extremely comfortable and do not pinch or bind anywhere. In fact, these shorts are so comfortable, they 're barely noticeable, either in the water or when wearing them to the pool under clothing. They are easy to take on and off. They are figure- flattering( particularly for those women whose thighs are not as toned as they once were), in part because the shorts descend to about 3- 4 inches above the knee. Because I 've been swimming in my Dolfin jammers for only about two months, I can not say with great certainty that they 're durable, although, so far, they give every indication that they are.( Post- swimming, I always soak them in a pail of water and Woolite.) My only complaint is that the elastic twists a bit in the waistband, and so I must flattened out the elastic band as the shorts are drying( happily, only once per drying session). Overall, I am extremely happy with my Dolfin shorts and plan to buy this product for years to come, as long as Dick's keeps selling them. I wear these shorts with takini tops. I am happier with these shorts than with the Dolfin one- piece suit, which pulls on the shoulders and which flattens the bust completely.

I brought two prior for a wer aerobics class and not only lovevthe fit but the way it wears in the pool. It doesn ’ t ride up, twist nor sag. Many in class compliment the fit. I love the quality of the fabric as well. I spend many hours in the pool and the color is just as beautiful today as the day I purchased them.

I swim for an hour five times a week and have five of these suits in black. I discovered this suit years ago and now buy nothing else. I 've also recommended this suit to other swimmers who have been equally pleased. As other reviewers have said, they last for years( and do n't turn a dingy grey from the chlorine). Also too, as others have said, order a size down and within a few wears they seem to mold to your body, and are extremely comfortable. I am in my early seventies, five feet one, 104 pounds and the size 34 fits perfectly.
