This bag is overall the bomb. I take public transit and have been purchasing different types of bags and suitcases for the last couple of years because since I don ’ t drive I have to carry my life and I work a lot. I was able to put my towel, after- workout clothes, wallet, and 2 bottles of water. I like this duffel bag because it's not too big and not too small. I love that the suspension is very comfortable for walking a mile plus from a bus stop or train station( I have only used it on one trip so far but had to walk a mile from the train station to my hotel and this was fine) but it also zips away( which I did when I left the bag at that hotel because it was too early to check in). The bag has a ton of space, in fact it is enough space to fit my whole families ski clothes plus our winter boots, freeing up space in our personal bags for our daily use items. [ I brought the Thule Chasm along for a cross- country road trip( Denver- Maryland- up to New York) and then used it as a carry- on for a flight to the Dominican Republic — and it fit everything I needed, keeping it dry and contained. The material is super sturdy and easily withstood being tossed around in and out of rental cars, overhead bins, and sandy hotel rooms. I also really like the calming color( easy to spot) and the handle design, which makes it comfortable to pull through airports or grab quickly out of a trunk. It ’s compact enough to fit in an overhead bin but still has plenty of space for both wedding attire and beach attire for a full week. One thing to note: it only has wheels on one side. While that means fewer things that can break, it makes adding luggage on top a little harder to navigate. The main zipper is durable and I like that its tucked under a flap, keeping everything weather resistant- especially nice when traveling in the tropics with frequent passing rain. Bonus, it's made from 100 percent recycled materials. This is a durable pack that's gon na last a lifetime. Hope my kids like `` pond grey ''!

This badboy has been with me to 10+ countries, been thrown in and out of every size of airplane, and generally been my bag of choice for everything that comes up. I have dragged it through immigration lines by the strap, and have worn it as a backpack because I had my hands full. It feels like a small bag, but somehow holds everything... like it always manages to hold everything. I tried tons of different specialized bags to use for getting my pilot's license, and this thing( surprise!) holds everything perfectly. Weekend bag? check. Month long trip? Rock this guy plus a backpack or carryon. Which brings me to the* only* flaw I can think of. It does n't sit well on top of a rolling suitcase. I use it for going to the gym, as carry on luggage when flying, commuting to work and have lived out of the bag for 5 day trips with the bag strapped to my motor cycle. The quality and workmanship is excellent. I have the black bag and love the colour. Love the simplicity of the bag, one zip to the main compartment and that ’s it. The side pockets with organisation works great and i use these for my tech gear. Shoulder strap is comfy as are the carry handles. I have used the carrying handles in backpack mode for a 40min walk twice a day for 5 days with just some gym gear and an iPad inside and its doable but I wouldn ’ t like to do it again it just not comfy. I have since purchased the 45 travel backpack for occasions like this. I love the bag as it suits my needs and would recommend peak design gear to others. '' In person, it is much more of a brighter burnt orange, and I was instantly in love. I was searching for a duffle for its soft body vs any other luggage to have something easy to pack( big and roomy) and easy to grab and carry( handles on the sides of this bag, the backpack straps, or top carry straps!). I use it to pack for weekends at my partner's and future plans and it fits SO much!! The duffle is designed to fold into itself for storage as well and the wrapped outer part becomes a pocket accessible from in and outside of the duffle. have n't gotten to take the bag out on my trip yet, but this is the only pack I have found that met my needs. the square shape maximizes storage, which I feel other brands ignore to take account for. laptop sleeve and secret passport compartments give extra security for important belongings. I love the bag's hip straps which fit perfectly on me at 5'2 and give comfort comparable to competing brands. the other bags I was looking at that had the square shape did not have the straps, and when I tested them out with actual weights, it did hurt. the straps were very necessary. my favorite addition is the added day pack on top- I typically bring with me on trips a similar sling bag but hate when I combine it with other backpacks since the straps get all strangely intertwined. the fact i can just zip it on top will make airport travel much easier. with that being said, the fact it comes off and changes into a personal item/carry on is so helpful. the size of the daypack is big enough for small shopping outings or a day hike- maybe not enough to hold clothes for a few days though, but that is not why i got it. After 3 months, one of the side pocket zipper- pull broke off. After reaching out to Peak design they directed me to go through the warranty process. I received a brand new replacement bag within a few weeks. It was a pretty seamless process. Overall the bag is fantastic. Love all the pockets and carrying versatility. The one critique would be that the magnets in the Handel are too weak. I highly recommend travel duffel.

Very hard to find a decent multipurpose/format day/weekend bag around 30L at this price. I switch between backpack and hand carry almost daily and it's very easy to do. The zip pockets and interior pouches are super useful. I travel a lot for work( 1- 2 nights away at a time) and this is ideal to pack everything I need as a holdall and to unpack at the hotel and use as a gym/day bag in between.
