[ When I first took these pants out of the package, I was a little hesitant as the material was a bit stiff. However, once I put them on I was shocked and pleasantly surprised at how much I liked them! Definitely for cooler weather( the material is heavy). Very comfortable one. High waisted. They are pleated so nicely, that they are an interesting combo of cargo pants and trousers/wide leg which I love. As for sizing, I have seen some reviews say they are small but I did not find this to be the case. For reference, I am 5' 8 and 170 and got a medium. To me they fit perfectly. The only place they are a tiny bit snug is around the thighs( I have thicker thighs in general) but if I lose, literally, 2- 3 pounds, they would be perfect. I also LOVE the length as most pants like this are too short on me but these are plenty long( so may be a lad long for a shorter person). Overall, I am so happy with these and can see wearing them a lot for the rest of the winter both for walks and to go out!

Also not scratchy on the skin like some cheaper alternatives. I ’ ve only owned a couple of these for a month or so, but I think I ’ ve found the perfect summer shirt. Stylish, versatile, comfortable, and wrinkle- resistant. I wore it for a beach day this past weekend when I wasn ’ t on the water, am thinking of how I can dress it up for a casual summer wedding next month, and won ’ t leave on any summer trips/vacations without them. I usually like a slimmer fit, but this is a perfect relaxed fit. I ’ m not swimming in the material, but it ’s also very airy and comfortable, and just fitted enough to look really nice. I can ’ t thank Fjallraven enough for carrying size xs in men ’s!! If I had to pick a gripe with the shirt it ’s that it doesn ’ t have 100% full mobility when completely lifting your arms out and above your head, but I also know that ’s not what this shirt is intended for. The pants have a perfect amount of stretch, which makes them comfortable during a day on the trail, and when relaxing around camp afterward. The zippered legs come off and on easily, and the adjustable drawstring at the ankle allows you to cinch it up around your boot to help keep 6- 8 legged critters and trail debris out of your shoes. I like them, and they look good with my Scout leader uniform too. I went with the Morel color, as the Verde was a little too green for my tastes.

Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!
