I work construction and outdoors 100% of time and this really comes in handy, attached the velcro pads inside a vest, and keeps me warm exposed to the Texas panhandle weather

Overall, this does a pretty good job keeping me warm. I swap it between a couple different coats, but it has a hard time sticking to coats that have a slippery- type material on the inside. When the battery pack is in the pocket, it acts as a weight and will very slowly peel off the adhesive sticky pad. I like it because I do n't need to buy a new coat- I can simply put this in my primary winter coat. The extra adhesive pads allow me to swap it to a different coat, too.

Ive bought a lot of jackets from the top brands over the years, but nothing matches Fjallraven for build quality and timelessness. After buying this I sold all my Rab, Montane, North Face etc jackets- this is better all round, warmer in the cold( totally wind resistant), more resistant to water, more breathable, tougher, it looks fantastic( always getting asked about it) and will probably last 20 years. It fits perfectly- though go a size down. Pockets are excellent esp the inside pocket, insulated hood works beautifully and still has room for a beanie if its really cold- only thing to note is there is no drawstring waist- presumably because of the down- but it doesnt impact anything. After buying this i bought the insulated Kiruna... hardest decision of the day is which one to put on...

I am a very warm person in general, so I was actually a bit hesitant when reviews claimed the coat to be extremely warm. I took the plunge and am extremely happy so far with the purchase, The down filling almost self adjusts and keeps you at just the right temperature, but not too hot! The fit is great, contouring perfect to the body, Im 5'7 '' and have an athletic figure. Besides the fit and finish the coat just looks good, and feels of very high quality. Looking forward to wearing this in the cold winter months in Michigan. Dont hesitate, Buy this coat!

I ordered both this jacket and the re- wool jacket. Both seem like nice, warm options for Wisconsin winters. I 'm 5'11 '' tall, 185 pounds. I 'm torso- tall, a bit of a rounded belly, with average shoulder width. This down jacket was ordered in size large, which is a bit too snug on me. The re- wool was purchased in size XL, which is perfect. Planning to return this down jacket and wait to see if the re- wool gets me through the winter. If I feel like I need a better water- resistant jacket, then I 'll consider buying this down coat in size XL. Again, seems like a great coat, solid quality, a nice hood, good sleeve length.

Like the product description says, it has a very classic aesthetic but it also offers a ton of warmth and great water resistance. For jackets I am typically right in between a Medium and Small, and the Small fits perfectly on this one.

This was my first down jacket from Fjällräven and it was fantastic with a sweater underneath it and kept you warm in 20°F weather's to 10°F weather's in New York City. I 've used it on a hike before when it was snowing outside and the weather was around 10°, it kept me warm throughout the whole hike and never made me sweat at all because of the great insulation and circulation of rounding out where the warmth would be needed for my body. Highly recommend anyone who has thought about getting this jacket to get it without any regrets at all! 5 star jacket and worth every penny!

This has been the perfect parka for Minnesota winter( and late autumn and early spring) days. It has been my `` go to '' jacket for walking- I 'm never too warm or too cold. It blocks the wind and moisture. I 'd say, depending on what I layer with, I 'm good from single digits to the 40's. It's also just getting more comfortable over time. Ca n't recommend it enough!

The Kiruna parka immediately became my favorite coat. The sleeves are roomy so I can wear a sweater or suit jacket comfortably. The length protects me from rain as I walk or load and unload the car. The fit and color earn compliments. I highly recommend this coat for cool, rainy weather!

The weight, material, length, and fit are all perfect. I got this jacket for snowshoeing to be protected from the elements but also to be warm but not overheat. Double zipper helps with mobility for activities. Would recommend and buy again!

I have never been so well protected against the wind. Only downside is it ’s awfully heavy, but the weight seems to make it much more effective than down jackets. Love the mitten pockets. I never wear mittens or gloves any more and my hands are a lot qwarmer.

The parka is perfect for those snowy days when it ’s not freezing cold. I purchased a small and I ’ m 5 ” 4 and 125 lbs I have enough room for a bulky sweater to wear under it. My only complaint is never enough products available in my size always sold out! Great products if you can get them!

I bought myself and my daughter this coat and wore it on our trip to Iceland. We both loved it. It was warm and kept us dry in a light rain. It also cleaned off easily as my daughter got mud on hers. It was very light weight and took up very little space in our bags. It fit very well and was comfortable for horseback riding, hiking, and walking around the city. We both loved how it looked too.

[ This jacket is a great all around windbreaker. The fit is oversized and can fit over a lot of layers+ allows a full range of motion. The snaps and zipper are solid. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.
When selecting a coat for autumn, consider features that provide warmth and comfort while also being lightweight. Look for materials that offer insulation, such as down or synthetic fills, to keep you cozy during cooler temperatures. Additionally, water-resistant or waterproof fabrics can help protect against unexpected rain, while adjustable hoods and cuffs can enhance fit and keep out the chill. Pockets for storage and stylish designs can also add functionality and flair to your autumn wardrobe.
To choose the right size for an autumn coat, start by measuring your chest, waist, and hips to find your measurements. Consult the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. Consider the type of layering you plan to wear underneath; if you intend to wear thicker clothing, you may want to size up for a more comfortable fit. Additionally, pay attention to the coat's style and intended use, as some designs may have a more fitted or relaxed silhouette.
When selecting an autumn coat, materials that provide insulation and warmth are essential. Look for options that feature down or synthetic insulation, as these materials trap heat effectively. Additionally, coats made with fleece or sherpa lining can offer extra warmth and comfort. Water-resistant or windproof outer fabrics can also help protect against the elements while retaining body heat.
Yes, certain styles of coats are particularly well-suited for autumn weather. Insulated jackets provide warmth while remaining lightweight, making them ideal for fluctuating temperatures. Additionally, options like parkas and bomber jackets offer both style and functionality, often featuring water-resistant materials to handle occasional rain. Layering is also a key consideration, so coats that allow for easy layering with sweaters or hoodies can enhance comfort during the season.
To determine the right level of insulation for an autumn coat, consider the typical weather conditions in your area during the season. Look for coats with varying insulation types, such as down or synthetic materials, which can provide warmth without excessive bulk. Additionally, think about your activity level; if you plan to be active outdoors, a coat with moderate insulation may be ideal, while a heavier insulated option might be better for colder, more stationary situations. Finally, layering capabilities can also influence your choice, allowing you to adjust your warmth as needed.
Insulated coats are designed to provide warmth by trapping heat, making them ideal for cooler autumn days. They often feature materials like down or synthetic insulation, which help retain body heat while still being lightweight. Uninsulated coats, on the other hand, are typically made from lighter materials and are better suited for milder temperatures or layering over warmer clothing. Choosing between the two depends on the expected weather conditions and personal comfort preferences.
Yes, an autumn coat can be suitable for outdoor activities, provided it has the right features. Look for coats that offer insulation to keep you warm, as well as water-resistant or waterproof materials to protect against rain. Additionally, consider options with breathable fabrics to ensure comfort during physical activities, and features like adjustable hoods and cuffs for a better fit. Pockets for storage can also be beneficial for carrying essentials while you're on the go.
Autumn coats often feature colors and patterns that reflect the changing season. Earthy tones like browns, oranges, and deep reds are popular, as they complement the fall foliage. Additionally, plaid and houndstooth patterns can add a classic touch, while muted shades of green and navy provide versatility. These choices not only enhance your style but also blend well with the autumn landscape.
To layer clothing under an autumn coat for maximum comfort, start with a moisture-wicking base layer to keep you dry. Add an insulating mid-layer, such as a fleece or lightweight sweater, to provide warmth without bulk. Finally, choose a coat that fits comfortably over your layers, allowing for ease of movement. Consider the weather conditions and adjust your layers accordingly to maintain comfort throughout the day.
When selecting a coat for varying autumn temperatures, consider the material and insulation to ensure warmth without overheating. Look for features like adjustable hoods and cuffs to help regulate airflow and fit. Additionally, think about the coat's length and style, as longer options can provide extra coverage against wind and rain. Finally, consider layering capabilities, allowing you to adapt to fluctuating temperatures throughout the day.
