Great pants. Best fitting Carhartt pants I have had. Fabric is great feeling and looking though it does show wrinkles a bit more than I would prefer. Pocket layout is nearly perfect. My only gripe with them is that the extra pocket that is thigh level on the right side is pretty much pointless. If I put anything in it I can feel it on the back of my knee and it gets in the way when sitting. When there is nothing in the pocket I can sometimes feel the lining or stitching from it. I think the pants would be better if it was just omitted.

I am pleased with my purchase. I am 6', about 180 lbs., and I ordered the Large. I read LOTS of reviews( 1 star review- 5 star reviewers) before purchasing, and I am pleasantly surprised with the fit of the jacket. SEVERAL reviewers stated the jacket runs large, one or two stated it runs `` true to size '', so, what is the `` real deal ''? I believe it runs pretty true to its stated size. The large is a little large on me, and the sleeves are a bit long. I have long arms( wear shirt size 16 X 34- 35 '') and the large jacket sleeves are a bit too long. So, it is NOT a `` tailored fit look '', but I personally prefer the jacket to be a bit larger to enable me to wear a sweater of hoodie underneath. The Medium size may have been a better fit; not sure; but I also wanted the grey jacket( which is almost black in color) and it has a somewhat sculptured fit in the way it was designed. I am MOST pleased. PAY HEED: Do NOT attempt to put anything in what `` appears to be '' inside pockets, as these are NOT inside pockets, they are the inside lining for the two outside access pockets. Several people `` assume '' them to be pockets only to have had their cell phones drop to the floor.

This jacket is more than I could have hoped for. I operate a snowplow at a ski resort at night during storms clearing parking lots. When I get out of the tractor into what is frequently a howling blizzard, this keeps me warm, sealed and protected. It's loose enough that I can wear layers underneath if it's really cold and the whole thing is lined with nylon so there is no binding at all. The hood and zipper come up to just the right place on my chin to be functional without hindering. And when it's wet snow or rain, it runs right off and I stay dry. Amazingly comfortable. There is nothing about this jacket that I do n't like. Bravo Carhartt!

I have to start off and say I really appreciate the quality that goes into these bibs, there have been numerous improvements and upgrades to the older design. They have a relief cut into the pocket to hang a tape measure on either side. The front of the bib pockets are much more usable now, especially with the large zip pocket. I love the fit and feel. Very lightweight, which I wanted, as a summer weight jacket. The stretch improves the fit and feel over my other bomber. The only things I would change is; Add the original bomber style shoulder pockets and tool sleeves, maybe even on both sides. A velcro shoulder patches with a cover that matches the jacket fabric to hide the velcro if preferred. Stretch cordura or something cut resistant to protect in the shop against sheet metal edges or on the street for self defence. Hand pocket designed more like the original without the flap. I 'm 5' 7 '' 130 lbs and ordered a small, was n't sure how it would fit since I would normally go for a medium in jackets, but saw this was loose fit and have heard Carhartt run large. The sleeves of the small were good but I was absolutely drowning in the rest of it so got an extra small, and it was a much better fit! When I tried it on with a sweatshirt underneath, the sleeves of the extra small were a touch tight when bending my elbows, but I think it will break in just fine. Great jacket, hope this can help folks with sizing. Did n't have any trouble with the zipper the way other people have described, it's a big metal double zipper and takes a little effort but nothing crazy.

Bought this on a very cold day. The fit was perfect. Have n't had much of a chance to wear it since that very cold day has passed. The hood was a little irritating... kept rubbing the side of my face when not wearing it. Guess it needs a little more wear time to break in. Extremely warm!

Absolutely love these. We live in the PNW where it rains all the time and these are put over his clothes to go play soccer several times a week. It keeps him dry regardless of how many times he ends up on the ground. My 4 year old loves these.
