I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”, 160lbs with most of the weight carried in my thighs, so I often have trouble finding shorts that don ’ t squeeze too much and don ’ t ride up. These were long enough that they grabbed my thigh at the narrowest part by the knee, and didn ’ t ride up because of the nonslip band around the leg opening. These have a mid rise, which is not what I normally go for because I ’ m afraid they will fall down, but these stayed put! I got a size M for reference.

I chose the Size Medium for my daughter, as she is on the top of the growth charts for height and weight for her age. The inside tag describes the Medium size for ages 10- 12 years( 128- 140 cm), but it fits my 5- year- old daughter well( she is 60 pounds and 3' 9 '' in height). To do this this they are constructed using far superior materials compared to the other shorts I have, such as Pearl Izumi. [ My LG Fit Sensor 2 shorts I own are a little bit too small for me, so I bought the sensor 3 shorts 1 size larger than my sensor 2 shorts. One size larger turned out to be a perfect fit for me and the top band does not roll over. I found sensor 3 to be very comfortable and it feels like it might be a little bit lighter/cooler material than the sensor 2 shorts. To my surprise, the leg length is a little bit longer than the sensor 2 leg length, which is good. Also, the legs stay in place as I ride. I only ride 15- 20 miles, so I can not say how they are for long rides, but they are great for my use.
