I used to be a short sleeve purist on my rides, but this material is breathable enough that I do n't get hot wearing it on sunny days. These shorts tick off all my requirements. They are long and do not ride up, The waist sits at my waist so I am never trying to pull the up. The waist band are especially designed to not roll over. The chamois is just the correct firmness to provide cushioning yet not bottom out over bumps. Nothing else to say.
