[ I did not buy these pants to ski. I usually ski in very cold places so I prefer thicker and looser pants for that. I did get them for all other cold weather and snow situations. They look GREAT, and fit great( if you size up). I am 5' 7, 145 lbs. I have a long torso, slim waist and wider hips with a big butt. I am usually a size 6 in tops and 8 in pants( Size 8 fit my hips and is usually a bit to big for my waist) After reading the reviews here I ordered a size 12. They fit perfectly. Just barely loose on the waist( but that gives space for tucking in thick baselayers tops) and perfect on the hips. I could have gotten a size 10 but I suspect that would give me a flattened butt. These are perfect. So like most reviews recommend: size up 2 sizes.

I wore these on a long day of walking all day in 95+ degree weather and they were so comfortable! I loved that I could unzip them a bit at the bottom of leg for airflow. OK I have tried A LOT of different pants for outdoor climbing... these are hands down my# 1 favorites for warm weather. They are VERY stretchy and somehow quite durable- no tears and minimal piling after TONS of abrasive granite, limestone and tuff over the last year, and I 'm back ordering in another color. I love the high waist, the side pockets and that I can move so freely, including very high steps:) They are flattering, comfy and stay cool. I would size down if between sizes as the fit is loose. I would love to see some additional fun colors- teal, green etc.

Fabric is a little thin, but that's great for the warm, humid south. Biggest perk is that they work great on an active, but curvy figure.
