The width of the leg opening is adjustable through a zipper so you can decide how much of your shoes you want to show off, and the waistband is elastic in the back for a more comfortable fit. I also like the fact that the logo is pretty inconspicuous. The only thing I don ’ t like about them is that the material doesn ’ t stretch so they are not very comfortable for lounging. [ I have now worn these black Dri Fit pants with adjustable ankle elastic several times. It took me a minute to figure out that after I tighten the elastic, I need to hide the cinches by tucking them into the pants at the ankle. I would like a more elegant solution for that, but it was really nice to be able to adjust the ankle fit. The pants are versatile. I ’ ve worn them out walking in various temps and they kept me perfectly comfortable. I expect that they will be really nice for indoor workouts as well. I wore them kayaking on a warm day and they not only kept me cool but also kept me pretty dry! The pants look great with a minimal tee or tank top. I have also worn them with a sweatshirt when it was cooler. I ’ m at the point now where I just throw them into my travel bag no matter where I ’ m going, because they are likely going to be useful.

I pull them up when I need to cool down or to put on my shinguards, socks, cleats and/or running shoes. I love the high waist and it ’s just enough tightness to keep them up but not too tight so I can ’ t pull them down and take them off easily. The breathable pockets are nice and deep enough for my keys and phone.
