If you want a snug fit then go for it. But if you want a fit with a little more room, go a size up. I went with the snug fit because the material is breathable and stretch. I ’ m 5 ’ 4 ” and 120 lbs, and the XS fits really well. The waistband is a bit snug going over the hips, but once it ’s on, it feels firm and supportive, which I like. The best way to describe the fabric is to compare it to the Athleta brand I also wear. The Athleta brand has a buttery soft feel, a bit slick, thinner feeling fabric, and I do love them. By comparison, the Calia fabric for this legging has a slightly course, thicker feel, making it a bit warmer with a more substantial feel, which I also love. And when I say “ course ”, I should clarify that it is still a very soft fabric and you won ’ t be disappointed. Both are great in their own way, and I wear either depending on what I ’ m doing.

Absolutely love these leggings! They fit snug but move with you. My only complaint is that the waistband tends to roll down when I workout and bend over. Otherwise these are a 10/10 I ’ ve lost weight and these still fit great and I ’ ve had them for about 3 years now. The mesh part at the bottom is see through and they are a little thin so not a great option for the winter time but they are breathable and great to workout/run in.
