Side by side, these mediums are much larger( wide in leg area and tall above the waist) than the large bauer pants, but still fit snug around the waist and offer good protection.

These are great to wear umpiring. Your legs stay cool and protected from your shin guards. Plus the cup area stays in place much better than previous versions. Ignore the photo which shows shorts. If the description states pants, they are pants.

I bought these to replace a standard jock combined with base layer pants. Took a little getting used to but the medium size fits well. I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ” and 170 lbs. The velcro is slightly low as mentioned in other reviews but not so low that they aren ’ t usable. They work fine when affixing the socks to the top of the velcro.
